Brett deserves great credit for asking agressively of this president . Quite frankly in sweeter times i would have fond his badgering to be unseemly,but not this time. This president has never had a tough interview he has always been allowed the cheap tricks of announcing that "I will give you the facts", Or the insider massage, "well you and I know the truth" Brett didnt bite he stood firmly on point and had the very clever trick of deflecting critiisism by sourcing the questions from listener (a variation on the "I had to wear my sister's teeth" theme). This didnt help the O and makes him look like the uninformed talking point that he is.
Petty asside; Who does the O's eye makeup it looks spooky or is that spokey, i think the glittering copper is a bit, how shall we say it hmmmmm well maybe its a BOW to the LGBT groups (is that enough letters?)

Brett Baird is my favorite newscaster, so for the most part I was happy to see him do this interview. What I couldn't stand was the endless stream of talking points from obama rather than directly answering any question. What the o doesn't understand is that those of us who watch Special Report are thinking people who can see right through his vociferous bullsh*t.
That is Barry's Achilles heel, he cannot do an 'unscripted' interview.

The constitution provided for a strong Executive so that the nation could be nimble in dangerous times. It is my beleif that most Presidents have shrunk from its full exercise as a matter of humility. This man has no humility but has he usurped constitutional power? Is it time to reconsider the extent of Executive power.

I really think someone had hacked into their site. I had complained to James Hudnall a couple of days ago about the problems we were experiencing off and on of our comments disappearing and that they did not contain anything that warranted deleting. Michael Walsh answered me and said they were working on it and I was to report to him if I had other problems. Today I when I was trying to post, he saw my complaint and I think he got right on to the situation. He kept telling me that he could not see my posts in moderation…so I think someone was deleting them before they made it to moderation. He commented several times that they were not purposely deleting anything, so I am sure they got right on it and fixed it….whatever it was. We may never know. I really thing the Big sites are a massive target for hackers.

Yeah, Simplot, ConAgra, and a few others. I imagine they will be moving out soon though with Initiative 66 and 67 that just passed in Oregon. I am so glad we sold our farm…it was really difficult to do because it had been in the family for three generations. But when O was elected we sold it knowing that the Death Tax would be reinstated…and Oregon was getting worse. We are in Washington now…if we were not in a small conservative farming community we would leave it too. I would say 90% of our community is well aware of the potential chaos coming. We are all preparing, its kind of interesting to watch the dynamics of all of it. I know there are probably hundreds of small communities doing the same thing.

I think that you're just used to seeing Obama getting puffball questions, Brett did a great job…………a bit defferential, but not obsequious at all; he asked him questions that ALL pols usually get, but which Obama has never faced, on T.V. before.

What I do have to say about Obama is this: Here he is with "talking points" which are so far from the truth it's embarrassing, and yet, he's blabbing them like some talking head hired to get on TV. Presidents serve the people, and if ANYTHING AT ALL, they should be so respectful to the people they serve, that they speak candidly, clearly, and as objectively as possible. Obama's spiel was just plain insulting, as we know it was pure propaganda, pretty much truthless. This nation faces no crisis of "uninsuredism", it faces a crisis of "government has taken so much we're bankrupt", and Obama's on a campaign to take massive chunks more. It is, even as my kids can observe on their own… "stupid". Apparently having "Harvard" in your educational resume means nothing anymore. Sadly, more wisdom flows from the U of Idaho Journalism graduate from Alaska, whose claim to fame is mostly having lived a normal(?) Alaskan life.

Idaho is beautiful too. I do feel safe in my community. It is small enough that in an emergency we are tight. We had a flood a few years back and 2 major forest fires a few years later. Both ravaged our county. The state tried to come in and tell us how to handle the situations and we basically told them to get out. It opened our eyes to the need to aggressive nature of the state. It basically made clear to us that their overreaching would never happen again in an emergency. We are a group of hard working, creative thinking, and self industrious community…and we are not appreciative of nature having more weight than people, which is the states basic philosophy. Hang in there Cardi! We will make it through this!

It did make him look really bad…but then most of FOX viewers are already aware of his ineptness. This interview should leave no question in anyone's mind now if they had any doubts…I for one thought Brett was excellent. It is not his style to go after someone like that, but Baier had to know he may never get another chance so he had to go for the gusto!
To me, and this may not surprise anyone, the President came off as a Utopian in the first part of the interview when Brett was asking whether the President would go along with Reconciliation or the Slaughter rule. He kept saying "It's not about the process. It's about getting people insured." I'm paraphrasing of course. To me, this sounds like "The ends justify the means. If we can get good, cheap health insurance for everyone. It doesn't matter how many rules we have to break."
I have no problem with breaking a silly rule or two in order to get things done but "Slaughter" isn't just breaking a silly rule or two. The Slaughter rule is unconstitutional. It goes against 250+ years of policy and tradition. This is a really bad idea and Obama should have said, flat out, I won't sign the bill if they pass it using Slaughter.
Reconciliation is another matter entirely.
Hahaha if they're so dumb as to actually pass a bill with all the lefty stuff thrown in, it will be awesome. They will spark a wave of revolt the likes of which has never been seen in America. Expect at least half of the states to sue, Tea Party ranks to balloon, and conservative Republicans to sweep in November. The whole thing will be cut to pieces and the Democrats fortunes with it!
Brett was more than "fair", but he was also extremely PROFESSIONAL; unlike O'Reilly, who might as well go work for CBSABCNBC, as he was lousy with Obama and ever since he got that "interview", Bill's been spineless, when it comes to Obama AND the Dems.

Gardening intensely, stocking up pantries with durable goods, seeds, etc. Many of us are raising chickens, rabbits, goats, small animals that do not require a lot of space. Of course those that have farms have cattle, horses, We are an agricultural community and it hasn't been that long ago we were sustainable in our needs as a community, so it will not take us long to go back to it. They DO have earthquakes (along with hurricanes, landslides and tsunamis) in Hawaii every so often. However, that being the case, the building codes reflect that reality. I think the goal is these lawsuits by the states will eventually end up in the Supreme Court, and even activist lefty judges would have to admit some things in this bill are unconstitutional.
My fear is that the dems say "OK, we'll take those out" and leave the rest in place.
It will effectively remove most of the funding they planned on to back it (losing the madate to healthy people who don't want it, and moving huge amounts of medicare/medicaid costs to states). It will just be a means for them to drastically raise taxes, which they'll be fine with.
This bill can't operate without the mandate and without costs shifting to the states. Someone with more legal knowledge than me would have to explain if the Supreme Court can shut down the whole bill, or if Obama will be allowed to keep the parts they don't deem unconstitutional. If the latter is the case it will be a nightmare and Obama will have won either way. Universal healthcare here we come.
That doesn't change the fact that they are both incredibly inefficient, bureaucracy heavy businesses that would have gone under shortly after conception if they didn't have the ability to say "Dad, I need some more money!"

Not only are the boomers retiring, but with the unemployment/underemployed number being realistically approaching 20% there is not enough money coming in to pay those already collecting Social Security. Actually, if there had been a "lock box" (Hello, Al Gore?), insolvency would've taken a few years longer, and without the bureaucratic inefficiency, inattention and stupidity, there should've been a profit (ie, instead of funneling off the money paid in, invest it in interest-bearing instruments — that's how insurance companies show profits). I think both SS and Medicare are, or at least might as well be, complete scams. Together, they suck up 15% of every dime a worker earns in a lifetime. Run those numbers with compound interest.
My point, though, was that Medicare is fully paid for by the recipients (even though the funds are mishandled by government), while Medicaid is a welfare program.
