After having to quietly pull cropped and photoshopped images that hid jihadist violence on the Mavi Marmara, images that were edited in explicit violation of their ethics guidelines, Reuters is now quietly reissuing the full undoctored photos.
And adding this kind of crap in the captions:

Israeli marines stormed the Turkish aid ship bound for Gaza on Monday and nine pro-Palestinian activists were killed, triggering a diplomatic crisis and an emergency session of the U.N. Security Council.
“Activists” were “holding down” the Israelis who “stormed” their “aid ship.” That’s a second stab at objectivity, from a media outlet that’s theoretically overcompensating for the functionally doctored propaganda they just got caught publishing.
We’re in the midst of a solidly theorized cycle of populist scapegoating, wherein global populations in confused decline are seeking a readily identifiable victim that can be pinpointed as the source of all their problems. Eliminate the scapegoat, the psychology goes, and you eliminate all the problems. Eliminate Israel, the hope is, and you eliminate Muslim discontent all the way from Afghanistan to the capitals of Old Europe.
Can you imagine how surreal the backlash is going to be when they find out they’re wrong? At the very least this much, right?

You can laugh, but in Cook County, Illinois, that IS the caption in an assigned book for social studies.
The book is called "Why Jews Must Die", and you can find it on page 45, in chapter 3, "Jew Tricks Throughout History." The book was published in 2008 by Calypso & Wright Press of Chicago, Harlem, and Damascus, and is dedicated to "Dearest B. and his proud American wife."

The New York rabbi who videotaped veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas telling Jews to "get the hell out of Palestine" says he has received numerous death threats and thousands of pieces of hate mail in the days since Thomas' abrupt retirement.
Rabbi David Nesenoff said he is facing an "overload" of threatening e-mails calling for a renewed Holocaust and targeting his family — a barrage of hate he said he planned to report to the police on Wednesday.
"This ticker tape keeps coming in," Nesenoff says. "We got one specific one saying, 'We're going to kill the Jews; watch your back.'"
Nesenoff said he was shocked not only by Thomas' original remarks — which he called anti-Semitic — but by the wave of insults and threats he has received since his videotape brought about her public shaming and the end of her 50-year career at the White House.
"This is something that I thought was a couple of people here or there, [but] it's mainstream and it's frightening," the Long Island rabbi said. "[Thomas] is just a little cherry on top of this huge, huge sundae of hate in America."
Nesenoff approached Thomas with a camera on May 27 following a celebration of Jewish heritage at the White House. Asked for a comment on Israel, Thomas called Jews occupiers and said they should "go home" to Germany, Poland and the U.S.
But even as Thomas backed off from her remarks, e-mailers have continued to assail Nesenoff, who has begun posting dozens of malicious letters and YouTube comments on his website, RabbiLive.com.
Just substitute AP, and API, for Reuters, and you're well on the way to understanding just how MISSinformed or UNinformed we have been for YEARS!
These three news services supply most pvt news outlets with at least 75% of their daily lineup. And they've been doing this for decades and nobody's called them out. They are as much a part of the problem as any gov't or international organization on the planet! More so because ALL the news outlets rely on them, especially for photo journalism.
This makes them exponentially more influential….like the photo of the Brown Pelican buried in oil….they can literally shape opinion world wide with total impunity and ZERO accountability. And it worked out well for the Pelicans. Not so much for the Israeli's.
Time to start demanding negatives and raw footage folks. Pictures lie. And so do the "news outlets" who take them.
Sadly, the mainstream media seem to think "The Truth Will Put Us Out of Business".
And happily, it will. As long as there are altervatives like the internet and talk radio, organizations that are as morally bankrupt as the New York Times and Newsweek will also become fiscally bankrupt.

A few months back, Andrew Breitbart shared some of the correspondence he received from an open-minded (a.k.a. – empty headed) Leftie. It was full of bile, name-calling, threats and boasts. I think it was just the tip of the iceberg of hate that comes to anyone that publicly embarasses the Left.
I hope Rabbi Nessenhoff gets both protection and justice from the police when he takes it to them.
I recently spoke with an acquaintance who is the News Director for a local all news radio station. He had never heard of Drudge Report, Breitbart or any of the Big sites. What I found shocking is that his station carries some of the Canadian right wing talk radio hosts (yes – you read that correctly – there is such a thing as “Canadian right wing”)
Now that I think about it, I’m overdue to email him some links….

I am a photographer and have pretty much gone completely digital… ANY picture I take has an original file that is untouched, unedited or even rotated. There used to be that saying “A picture is worth a thousand words”… Photo editing has always been around, but nowadays a five year old can alter a pic in kindergarten. Shameful and disgusting what is going on, ethics is now considered a grey area… unbelievable.
I read Hillbuzz fairly often and they've had the same experience as the Rabbi. They're openly gay supporters of Sarah Palin and highly critical of Obama, so they end up regular targets of hate mail from the left. The stuff they get is vile, and homophobic beyond belief. They've said that it's been a real eye-opener to see how the left turns on you when you leave the fold– they threaten violence and will use any underhanded tactic they can to discredit their enemies. They also said that the response they get from conservatives is far more loving and tolerant. They say that even people who don't support homosexuality will often say "I'll pray for you," but never threaten violence or say hateful things. I like reading their posts because it's a look into how the left tries to destroy anyone who would shed light on their methods and motives.

The Israelis called BS on the boat scene video when they pointed out how very bright that sky looked, given that the raid was AT NIGHT! And how they convienently blurred the faces of the Israelis so you couldn't SEE the night vision equipment they were wearing.
My son sent me the REAL footage and I noticed yesterday that that same footage CLEARLY SHOWING SPOTLIGHTS instead of a daytime sky are the main clips being used now.
Guess truth in high profile cases will eventually out….but you can't expect that kind of policing with every photo.

Imagine the police found out you were planning to rob a bank. They don't have to wait until you are actually on the bank property in order to arrest you. They can do it whenever is best for them, and prefer to do it before you get there.
The flotilla declared their intention to enter a war zone, against advisement, which, under international law, is consent enough for search and seizure of materials destined for the enemy..
The whole concept of international waters is exactly why this is okay. "International waters" is just a confusing term for "Nobody can claim this area as their own". So if something happens in international waters, Iran or Turkey doesn't get to declare war on Israel, for violating their territory. It isn't theirs. It's international waters. The group stated their destination, refused to turn back, so this is the perfect place and time to do something about it.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
Next time, don't forget! Or just do a little bit of research, so you don't sound like you're being sarcastic. That's why you got so many thumbs downs.
