Word on the street is that former RNC Chairman Michael Steele is up for a contributor gig at either Fox or CNN:
Steele told FrumForum this week that he planned on “doin’ some TV here and there.” The New York Post follows up Thursday with a report that he has already talked to two networks, Fox News and CNN, about becoming a paid contributor.
Fox News wouldn’t be a surprise considering Steele once served as a political contributor for the network between stints as Maryland lieutenant governor and RNC chairman.
Steele comes across as first and foremost a press guy and comes in as a fundraiser at like, eleventh. The RNC didn’t exactly flourish on his watch and he kept a regular cycle on the television, where he also made frequent pitches for his book. There’s nothing wrong with liking the spotlight per se, but there is when your job at the RNC is measured by how little people have to say your name.

He'll be on the payroll only as long as he dishes on Republicans
Color me surprised.
Just what we need, another talking head, hawking his books and drivel..
Every day a politician of color proves that devotion to race trumps devotion to country when country wasn't created by such race.
Sarah Palin has got to announce her candidacy on the day of the State of the Union speech. This will overshadow Obama's speech and really piss off the MSM. Please pass the word so that Sarah gets the message.
That would sure 'nuff suck the oxygen out of the room.
Let it be CNN.
Considering the rotted State of this Union, Palin would be doing Obama a favor to distract everyone from it.
That would be true if he didn't lie on every issue. A lot of people still swoon over him and drink his kool-aid.
You said "color" you racist!
;>
That would be SO awesome.
As long as Steele doesn't have any actual accountability for anything, he'll do fine in whatever role he's serving.
CNN can have him….
The last thing Fox needs is another Progressive….
Why does this guy seem like a Republican Napolitano to me? Says one idiotic thing after another, comes out smelling like a rose. They understand "the game" in ways I can't even fathom.
Steele is where he should be. Fighting liberals face to face. He is good at it. Good luck to him in his efforts.
Guess he's following in the footsteps of Palin, Huckabee, etc.
"Welcome to 'Rhino Talk' …… and here's your host, Michaellll Steeeeele !"
Da-Da-DA DA Da
Sheeeezzzzzeeee ……
RINOspew, the network anus of dis ole Amos…right, Andy? Talk about a sellout….and that was before he lost the election…
Michael….Who? He stole what?
Mr. Steele has to have some sort of a job. Now that he is a free agent again, maybe NPR, huff 'n puff, or moveon.org will pick up his options as an empty suit or talking head. However, Fox will probably offer him a job. Just have to wait and see.
what a moron u r, AzzzPolyp….or what an AzzzzPolyp u r, moron…take your pick, fool.
I'll go a bit against the grain here and say I think Steele could really shine on either FOX or CNN, if he doesn't carry a grudge against the GOP for replacing him. That said, I think it likely that he'll play the, "They were mean to me!" meme. Hope I'm wrong.
Just one more reason to ditch cable and go to Netflix.
It's getting harder to find a movie that isn't full of propaganda though.
If he goes on TV there will be a lot of black folks that will find out for the first time that the RNC had a black chairman.
We mainly watch series. The best one this last year was Memphis Beat. Really good characters good story lines and stuffed full of Memphis Blues….music to knock your sox off. We don't do movies much so we miss a lot of the finger waggin. Himself is a SciFi Nazi so when nuthin good is on he pops in a Stargate SG -1 or 5th element or we end up playin tennis on the Wii…
Point is, TV isn't worth payin for anymore. And forget goin to the movies. So we switched to Netflx…no ads, watch when we want….cheaper by a lot….just no down side to it.
Hope that's as far as they look, lol. He didn't exactly win any points with his judgement on spending OR on what he spent it on if you get my drift….
Oh how evil and delicious! You have a twisted mind, my friend… I like it!
What irked me was that he tried to take credit for all the wins in the fall. The Tea Party won most of these in spite of him and it was like he didn't get it.
He is another republican I wish would just go away. It's only a matter of time before he's in some ad touting this or that with Nancy Pelosi. He is a RINO as are so many others.
Donfucius says: "When you compromise with evil you still get evil."
Michael who? Do you mean the next ineffectual tarbaby?
He should be the promo guy for Kiwi boot and shoe polish. Ugh, must we have prolonged suffering of this bumbling entitlement prince?
I agree. I watched Steele in his former capacity as a commentator on FOX and he's good.
I saw Eddy Hill on CNN last night with spitzer. She did alright. I think the other side of this is that CNN is realizing that their viewer ship will soar (hopefully) with some semi-legitimate conservatives.
FOAD ya racist lib maggot
