Chuck Heath, Jr., brother of Gov. Sarah Palin, has provided the statement below to Big Government and Big Journalism:
The McGinniss book is filled with one lie after another. The final straw for me was when I learned that he used me as a source for his lies about my sister and brother-in-law’s marriage. He included in his book comments falsely attributed to me by one of his unnamed sources. Neither McGinniss nor Crown/Random House reached out to me to verify, or even comment on, this alleged hearsay from an unnamed source. They just ran with it, and as a consequence, the tabloids picked it up and used it to fuel false rumors about my sister getting a divorce. All of this is a total lie, and I’m sick of seeing my sister, her family, and our extended family being trashed by smear-merchants like Joe McGinniss and his publisher.

As a proud son-of-a-bitch, I love it. These parasitic bastards are scared out of their government issued booties…good! It’s getting time to finish what we started in 2010, and “fix the mistake of ’08!” And perhaps your sister is the answer. The Left owes Sarah Palin a MASSIVE apology.
One of the techniques the Left uses is Black Propaganda. This method of mass deception was used by all sides during WWII. It spawned Mr. Churchill's admonition that "A Lie gets halfway around the world before the Truth gets its pants on."
Part of what the Left wing Democrats who attack the Palin Family constantly do is spread Black Propaganda against the Palins in an effort to make ordinary people believe the worst of them. Days later, when the denials and the proofs thereof come out in the press, fewer people are paying attention when the record is set straight. All techniques of mass propaganda, and that's what the Left does, depend on constant and repetitive assertion of lie after lie after lie. The Left assumes that people are stupid and will believe the lies after a time.
The Chuck Heath story is a case in point. Someone on the Left took a nugget of the McGinniss book and attempted to throw a monkey wrench into Palin's nascent campaign by trying to imply that the Palin's are on the verge of a divorce. They found a pliant Labour-oriented tabloid in the Daily Mail in England to publish a reworked summary of most of what had been regurgitated in reports about McGinniss' book here in the States, including what Chuck Heath is reported to have said to someone, which was placed in McGinniss' book secondhand.
The news spread around the world in 24 hours and it became an accepted fact in the Twitterverse that the Palin's were on the verge of a divorce settlement, when in fact, nothing could have been further from the truth.
Conservatives need to get present with propaganda; what it is and how to use it, or we will end up on the losing end of a lot of campaigns.
Chuck Jr., you need to help your little sis and Todd out buddy ! Go physically kick some arse !
As a big brother who likes his bro-in-law and wouldn't want to see him in trouble and taking down my little sis, I'd start handing out BEAT DOWNS with my fists until they put me behind bars. I did it before my sis got married (almost missed their wedding) to make sure my bro-in-law made their wedding. I even got my favorite baseball bat taken away (you can always buy a new one).

Their criticism of the McGinniss book is all the pennance we will see from the media elite who have spent the past three years doing the exact same thing.
And, even as pennance goes, it is a weak brew.
Because this book's crash-and-burn is nothing – or should be nothing – compared to what was revealed about those suffering from Palin Derangement Syndrome when the NYT and LAT invited their readers to do their dirty work for them.
McGinniss's fraud and libel doesn't outrage them – it embarrasses them, because it illuminates what they've been doing all along.
The thing that is most galling is that, in criticizing this book, media reports and reviews say that there is very little new information, and what info is offered is not vetted. The reason there is no new info is because IT WAS THE MSM, THEMSELVES, WHO FIRST REPORTED ON THIS UN-VETTED INFORMATION!
Where did McGinniss get the idea that Sarah and Todd Palin had talked divorce, supposedly because of Todd's infidelity?

Mr. Heath's outrage at McGinniss and Random House is well-founded, and I'd be screaming bloody libel on them if I were him. But I also see the forest through the trees, and I'd also be calling original sin on the MSM, who started this crap.
McGinniss – and quite likely Random House – will justifiably fall because of this.
But this turd should definitely be rolling uphill, into the lap of the MSM, from whence it came.
You cannot fight propoganda with propoganda. The only way to fight this sort of thing is to make it too expensive. That expense can be finacial by making sure every time such a lie is told that they are tied up in court, even if a win is not possible. Also the reputation of people who would do such a thing or support it is destroyed.
The one thing we do have in our favor is that conservatives and others who only want truth are now mastering social networks. A case in point is the mocking of Attack Watch. Mockery deflates the propogandist and deflates the lie. Perhaps someone should compile ALL the lies told about Sarah and then mock anyone who could believw all those things because well it is just so stupid and if you believe such a thing you must be stupid to.

Exactly. Liberal aticles critical of McGinniss spoke of his using unsubstantiated gossip and writing contradictory things. Period. The attitude of the liberal media is still UNANIMOUS that Palin is a religious nut, a phony, a user and – her biggest sin of all in their eyes – "lacks intellectual curiosity." In other words, she is everything McGinniss says she is, and he did a lousy job proving this.
The NYT review says "most of 'The Rogue' is dated, petty and easily available to anyone with Internet access." In other words, everything McGinniss wrote is true in essence, he just sleazed it up.
And of course the NYT had to sneer over the Palins' hypocrisy:
"{McGinniss} appreciates, not to say emulates, the way members of the Palin family cash in on celebrity and contradict themselves without penalty."
The NYT pans the book but, in lockstep with DNC/MSM thinking, absolutely drips with scorn and disdain for the book's victim.

I think people need to keep a recorder and a camera handy at all times. That way, the liars can be exposed. And now I'm writing things down that people are saying that are clearly untrue, getting as much detail, and passing it on in the public setting, such as these comment blogs. I personally won't let America go down the tube without a fight.

I hope so. I don't see how the liberal media can get away from their ridiculously partisan behavior during the last presidential election, and how badly they let voters down. A lot of people must be angry that the media falsely painted BHO and his opponents in order to influence the elections results, and then BHO turns out to be a disaster who is bankrupting and ruining the country. And I think the Palin e-mails hurt them too, with many people who believed the liberal media/entertianment industry scenario that Palin was a total fool, only to find she was an intelligent and competent administrator. And now McGinniss' sleazy book, which shines a light on just how unrealistic the liberal media are when it comes to this woman.
A couple of big Palin haters in my office were all giddy about the McGinnis book. I said, "Are you talking about that tabloid thing?", and one of them said, "Well, she claims to be all miss morality and now we find out she had sex before she was married!" The Palin haters, and they really are mental cases, at least in that regard, don't care if anything is a lie if it supports their hatred of Palin.
Geez. Right after I posted that comment, I watched the video of that 47-year-old scumbag who verbally assaulted Bristol Palin.
So, I guess "laughing all the way…", was a poor choice of phrase.
But I'll tell you what – whether from having run the gauntlet with her family, or because of how she was raised (probably both), Bristol proved herself very classy, and no shrinking violet all at the same time.

There's no doubt the smear is a fully accepted tactic on the part of those that use it to maniputlate public opinion and the vote to either sustain or gain power. Palin gets that. Yet another non-denial denial. No specifics just a rep(f)udiation of the author. If its all so scandalously untrue, wheres' the lawsuit? It would give much more credibility to the denials if Sarah denied the specific allegations herself while announcing a lawsuit for Libel. Of course this would mean going into discovery with the author, and his lawyers, leaving Palin greatly exposed. She may also then be open to a lawsuit for slander. Although I think the author is just another money grubbing attention whore, as is the subject, I have a feeling that there is some limited validity to what he is saying. If this is not so Palin needs to clear the air immediately. That is if she is serious about seeking the GOP nomination, a claim I have always found dubious. So until Sarah herself takes some definitive action, and a stand on something instead of hiding behind spokespeople, toying with the Tea Party and the GOP over the nomination, things will stay as they are.
