Update 1/30: The Associated Press has removed the video highlighted below. While we thank the AP for taking the video down, we request they also scrub the headline “Suspects in Landrieu Break-in Appear in Court” from Associated Press pages and channels. Additionally, we request the AP issue a formal correction for posting this video and headline.
In the above Associated Press video, which is posted to the Associated Press YouTube Channel, “Suspects in Landrieu Break-in Appear in Court “of January 28th, 2010, the Associated Press makes an unverifiable claim that James O’Keefe and the three other conservative activists broke-in to the offices of Sen. Mary Landrieu. First in the headline, then in the audio:
Three of the four men charged with breaking in to Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu’s office…
The description of the video as it appears on YouTube also references a break-in:
Three of the four men charged with breaking into Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu’s New Orleans office appeared in court Wednesday. (Jan. 28)
There are no allegations of a “break-in” in the FBI affidavit and Mr. O’Keefe has gone on record denying claims that he broke in to the Senator’s office.
We kindly ask you to issue a correction/retraction to the story.
We have been/will be making similar requests of other news sources to correct similar errors. Some, such as the Washington Post, MSNBC’s David Shuster, and Talking Points Memo already have posted corrections or retractions.

I want to pinch Retracto's cheeks.
I agree a correction should be issued. They were too fast to lead the news into Nixonian conspiracy direction without having all the facts
LOL.
This cracks me up to no end.
Wouldn't it be easier to list the ones that reported the truth?
AP: Worst. Pseudo-Journalists. Ever.
Whaddya expect the from the state-controlled media?
"Retracto! Come get some dinner!"
ACORN was found to have committed no crimes yet we have been hearing about the crimes committed by ACORN as portrtayed by Big Pimpin' O'Keefe for, what, 8 months now? Not a single retraction or correction has issued from Breitbart or anyone else. If anything, they continue to promote the lie of crimes committed by ACORN. This is all made better by the over-the-top indignation of a likely complicit Andrew Breitbart, the laughable portrayal of four adults as "kids," and O'Keefe himself ridiculing the journalistic integrity of others.
The best part of all this? O'Keefe gets probation for a period of time. Let's all hope this forces him to actually become a journalist as opposed to the bargain basement Alan Funt he was trying to become.
Who said ACORN "Was found to have committed no crimes"?
This is an out and out lie. Show us who said this.
They pulled the video, does that count as a retraction?
ACORN crimes: In Ohio 2004, four ACORN employees were indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms. In January 2005, two Colorado ACORN workers were sentenced to community service for submitting false voter registrations. On Nov. 1, 2006, four part time ACORN employees were indicted in Kansas City, Mo. for voter registration fraud. In 2007, five Washington state ACORN workers were sentenced to jail.
Breitbart – Hanity – Beck = whiny comedic douchebags!
There were ACORN employess who were brought to justice by ACORN during there own process. There is not a single instance of actual "Voter" fraud or a criminal action commiited by ACORN. D-Bag Brietbart paid Mr. O'Keefe for committing a crime by recording persons without their permission. That is a crime and Fox broadcast it. And, they all would ahve done it again if Mr. O'Keefe's criminal acts in LA produced more edited film folly.
I do believe that entering a federal building under the pretense that you are not who you say you are is BREAKING IN you idiots. I demand that you produce all correspondence between Andrew Breitbart and THE JOKER, also known as James O’Keefe. I also demand all payroll records that show that THE JOKER was employed by Andrew Breitbart.
well it would not be FOX or Breitbart because the combined time on this story the day it broke on FOX was I believe 2 minutes and Breitbart barely mentioned it.
Read the real news sometime and stop watching fox and viewing breitbart and maybe you would know that they were not guilty of anything

Good job providing no link to your "claims" to back them up. Did you learn that from Chris Matthews?
As for "the real news", I don't see wwhy or how you can continue to call the last-rated networks "real news". Even CNN, with it's 20-yr head start on the rest, is no longer "the most trusted name in news". That honor now belongs to the supra-real news network, FoxNews.
You stay stupid, now, y'hear?
You don't know what happened. Yo're getting your "news" from a guy who has gone back to obsessing over how black Obama is.
More yet of this effeminate syntax from the Democrats after our boy James O'Keefe had exposed the pedophiles among the ranks of ACORN last year. All you can do is grind your teeth at our recent successes in Massachusetts, along with our takeover of mainstream media via FOX, Breitbart and the internet. And dressing as the Village People is not a crime at all. Nor is telling lies–your buddies at MSNBC taught us that. The problem with being a crafty fox is that a craftier fox is wont to come along when you least expect it. Hence your little pals in the leftist fringe media have once again managed to render complete arses of themselves. Congratulations.
Yes I do know what happened. I have read the FBI affidavit that states in CLEAR ENGLISH (something that you may not understand) that two individuals dressed as telephone repair men entered a federal building, which in these UNITED STATES is illegal. They were not, nor were they ever telephone repair men. IDIOT!!
You know what? You are not worth the time. The doctor who delivered you should have thrown you out with the afterbirth because you are not worth saving!

Fox is still #1. You will never get anywhere if you can't even argue effectively.
You really don't know what happened.
I utterly believe the higher than comment, the internet is with a doubt growing into the most important medium of communication across the globe and its because of sites like this that concepts are spreading so quickly.
