Amen, SomeDame. This has to be one of those Alinskyite principles–always relating a current event to extremely demonized past events in hopes of some of the demonization rubbing off, by comparison, to the current one when, sometimes, there's not a conncection of any kind. Sort of reminds me of those who begin a sentence with the words: "Well, everybody knows…" or "We all know that…" about things that the person has no idea if everyone "knows" and, if they did "know", the contention would be so ridiculous that no sane person would sign on to it. The attempts to "lead" thinking using these techniques is way too effective on the intellectually lazy (Sorry about the oxymoron). In short, Watergate my ass. Good call.

Retracto, the Correction Alpaca is soon going to be the largest contributor to Big Journalism. This whole thing has REALLY made it crystal clear in my mind that the media bias is out of control. We are seeing it in action, up close and semi-personal.
