In the blogger known as DarkSyde’s post “Third Rate Burglary?” of January 26th, 2010, the author refers to an alleged wiretapping plot by James O’Keefe and three other conservative activists at the offices of Sen. Mary Landrieu:
In case you missed it, four people were arrested for trying to plant wiretaps in Senator Mary Landrieu’s office.
There are no allegations of any wiretap plot in the FBI affidavit, and a law enforcement official has conceded that the four men were not attempting to wiretap or intercept calls. Furthermore, legal representation for the accused has gone on record stating there were no intentions to tap phones in the Senator’s office.
We kindly ask you to issue a correction/retraction to the story.
We have been/will be making similar requests of other news sources to correct similar errors. Some, such as the Washington Post, MSNBC’s David Shuster, Talking Points Memo, and CBS News already have posted corrections or retractions.

That’s funny! To get the Kos kids to retract, unlikely. This fits their blind narrative too well…the leftist myrmidons are heading off the cliff…bye, bye!
I had an entertain conversation with a lefty acquaintance. He spoke of individuals' "truths," and how each persons' may be different.
I replied, "You mean 'opinions,' right?" He just laughed and shook his head, a smug "my truth is truthier than your truth" grin on his face.
If respect for truth were a character trait of these leftist, they'd be conservatives.
I'm sure the Daily Kos will issue a retraction. Right after Media Matters does.
The leftist press is using Alinsky's Rules for Radicals on James O'Keefe….and I think Breitbart is using them as well in demanding retractions. These are the rules they are using currently with this present case: #1. Power is not what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. #4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. #5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. #6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy. #8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose. #9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. #11. If you push through a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside. #13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it.
This is what the progressives are doing to James right now and I think Andrew is shoveling it right back to them with their own methods. The progressives have never been a victim of their own games before and it works on them just as well….Go Andrew! Especially using #4, #5, #8, and #13.

Great to see these media retract and/or correct. Some will undoubtedly kick and scream but eventually join this group.

NATO killed four civilians in Afghanistan yesterday. If that happened just 16 months ago, Bush would have been pilloried in the media.
Or, consider how now that Obama is President, we don't see any photos of coffins coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan. Just last year, seeing footage of coffins was TOPS on the priority list of the liberal media. Now they don't give a whit, because The One is in office.
