In the Associated Press article “GOP invites blogger Breitbart to fundraiser” published yesterday, the AP states:
Breitbart was behind an edited video clip of a former Department of Agriculture official that suggested Shirley Sherrod, who is black, denied a white farmer aid. The speech, when viewed in full, shows the opposite.
The written report authored by Breitbart that accompanied the aforementioned video acknowledges that her “humanity” did compel her to help the white farmer:
Eventually, her basic humanity informs that this white man is poor and needs help. But she decides that he should get help from “one of his own kind.” She refers him to a white lawyer.
The AP claims Breitbart suggested that Sherrod “denied a white farmer aid.” His multimedia presentation, when viewed in full, shows the exact opposite.
We kindly request that the Associated Press issue a correction.

The clip I saw on Breitbart had the content where Sherrod corrected herself, that was before anyone else covered it.

343 has a totally wasted cpu and is out of warranty. It appears an unknown liquid substance (Mountain Dew or urine) was the culprit. We recommend sending the complete unit to the scrap bin. Replacement is not possible because 343 is an obsolete model and was dropped for poor ratings.

Someone jog my memory. What did the overlaid text which introduced the Sherrod clip claim it revealed? Anyone? Anyone?

According to Wikileaks, their plan is to meet up with the Dick Armey of Frenchworks and perform a classic pincer maneuver.
The video does not show the opposite. She, in fact, DID deny the poor white farmer, choosing instead to drop him in the lap of "one of his own kind." She only chose to help him after seeing that "his own" was inept and not trying to help him out of his dilemma. At that point, something (possibly her morals kicking in) then compels her to do all she can to aid him.
In the end she did, somewhat, redeem herself by helping. This does not negate the fact that there is still some racism there. That shows me that she would prefer that one is helped by "their own kind" but will do what she must, if she HAS to.

Breitbart said to watch the reaction of the NAACP crowd when Sherrod was talking about the racist feelings she had, which proved his point. He also pointed out that her speech was meandering, which it was, but that at the end of the story it was about not caring about race, but about the poor.

The article's headline was "Video Proof : The NAACP Awards Racism"
As Breitbart went on to say, It showed the reaction of the crowd when she was talking about feeling racist towards the white farmer. You can hear the audience agreeing while she's talking about it. Later, as Breitbart pointed out, she tells the NAACP crowd about her change of heart.
So what exactly is your problem? The NAACP crowd was really with her when she was talking racist, no denying that!
