California is going to sink more money into global warming.

AB 32 Economic Analysis
Call for Research Proposals on the Economics of Climate Change
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) is announcing new research contract focused on the Economics of Climate Change. This funding opportunity is open to researchers affiliated with the University of California or California State University systems.
AB 32, the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, designated ARB as the lead regulatory agency charged with oversight of carbon emissions generated by and associated with the California economy. These emissions come from a diversity of sources – transportation, electric generation, transmission and consumption, real estate development, manufacturing, agriculture and land use – and the establishment of appropriate regulation ……..evaluating these regulations' impact on the California economy.
Research proposals are due by February 10, 2010 and may be submitted by emailing Matthew Zaragoza.
