The mythical figure of the war correspondent has a special place in the history of American journalism. The images are indelibly etched in memory: Edward R. Murrow broadcasting live while Nazi planes showered London with bombs; Ernie Pyle telling the personal stories of life in the trenches and ultimately paying for those stories with his life; and in today’s war with the jihadists, Michael Yon’s amazing reports from Afghanistan. This kind of fearless reporting made for journalist-heroes: courageous men and women that all Americans could admire.
Contrast Murrow, Pyle, et al with the cowards populating today’s mainstream media outlets. Everyone in the media today – whether new or old – is a war correspondent, in fact if not in name. The war is here, around the globe and most of all within our borders, courtesy of bullies and thugs who have spent the better part of thirteen centuries killing non-believers and trying to force a backward, hateful ideology cloaked in the robes of religion upon the world. Yet, though this war includes not only body counts, but ultimately threatens the existence of the free press itself, the mainstream media meekly cowers as the foundations of free speech and a free society are worn away by Islamic gangsters.
The MSM’s reluctance to identify Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hassan and the Christmas day “panty-bomber” for what they professed themselves to be –- holy-warriors employing the tactic of terrorism in combat with an enemy they have pledged to destroy -– is representative of such cowardice. Comedy Central’s censorship of last night’s South Park episode out of fear is another symptom of the disease.
An exchange between Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane and comedian Penn Jillette on Larry King Live last night is sadly representative of the contrast between the mainstream media’s hands-off policy towards Islam and the courage that Trey Parker and Matt Stone displayed. For McFarlane, poking a bit of fun at Islam (and he’s more than willing to poke fun at Christians) boils down to the purely selfish question of “was the joke worth it?” In McFarlane’s world, you don’t take the risk of insulting an enemy sworn to kill and subjugate you because, hell, there’s plenty other groups to insult who will do nothing more than write an angry letter or two.
In response, Jillette proceeded to skewer McFarlane in a two sentence takedown:
I think you cheapen Matt and Trey’s morality, strength and courage when you say ‘is the joke worth it?’ Because the question is: what is morally right?
It is about morality and it’s telling that it takes a cartoon to do what the MSM won’t: expose the hypocrisy, bigotry and thuggery of the jihadists in our midst. Parker and Stone have taken irreverent, off-color and insulting shots at every major religion in the world and, while Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindus might have been outraged by a particular South Park episode, its creators never had to fear for the lives. Only a joke about Islam could provoke that reaction and while we should deplore Comedy Central’s cowardice, we should salute and admire Parker and Stone. Somewhere, Murrow and Pyle are smiling, perhaps not because they get the jokes on South Park, but because they recognize the courage of a fellow war correspondent when they see it.

The fact that Comedy Central censored the last 35 seconds of the episode, which was Kyle's speech about fear & intimidation that didn't include a single mention of Muhammad, speaks volumes about the network's cowardice.
Michael Yon will be sorely missed around here, that's for sure…..
The irrelevant Frankfurt School, trained media sure as hell won't…
Comedy Central = the new color of yellow. Bravo Matt & Trey! Finally somebody stands up to the cowards who profess to be the religion of peace.
Wow. This is what it has come down, we are allowing bullies to dictate the speech in AMERICA!
Amen.
Perhaps South Park will take a step or two beyond what some consider tasteful. Perhaps some people take themselves too seriously to see the meaning in the infantile.
The genius in roping a number of contentious issues into the cognizance of children and weaving that storyline to conclusions that are <should be> so blatantly obvious to anyone is unique. And the fact that those blatantly obvious conclusions are still being debating is what makes South Park tick.
Look at the dates of those episodes. Matt and Trey were so far ahead of the MSM curve that it is even funny anymore. Those cognizant of those contentious issues have had to endure years and years of denial from the Mainstream.
And that is why I would not hesitate a nanosecond to mention Matt and Trey is the same breath as Edgar Allen Poe. The first true American genius.
Call it Cadmium Yellow toxicity…..
And that is a fact!
We must fight to keep Freedom of Speech alive and well in all aspects of our culture! This is how the Muslims start weaseling their way into a culture to start tearing it down. This is a Christian nation….I could give a flying rip of what Barack Hussein Obamao says….it is a Christian nation, not a Muslim!
I've never been a fan of South Park and I don't keep up with who it is that writes it or who does the voice overs. I say Kudos to whoever is responsible for taking on the ridiculous belief system called islam, and I say a pox on the cowards who decided to bleep out muhammad's name.
However, is it possible that the bleeping was part of the script to begin with? If so at least the writers were brave enough to broach the subject but knew that they would be able to hide behind the bleeps.
Someone has to make America aware of how evil this false "religion" is. Schools are teaching it as a "culture" which is not true either. Of course they don't teach that islam wants to take over the world and kill those who do not convert to islam.
http://www.actforamerica.org is a good start as well as Robert Spencer's work.

Seth McFarlane has revealed himself as a sniveling coward. Was the joke worth the risk? Not if it involves any of Seth's shows. Does McFarlane even shave yet?
I'll take Matt and Trey any day.
Same group of hackers that attacked the Scientology severs in 2004 now are doing the same to radical muslim sites.

I'm pissed. They've only shown the episode once. All of the repeats which are supposed to be episode "201" have been replaced with reruns of other episodes.
I was looking forward to listening to 22 minutes of beeps.
A "religion" that promises baby murders a happy humping ground with 72 white raisins and lots of pot is not the kind of place Jesus would offer.
Take your choice – Jesus or the raisins.
Remember, Jesus was around long before the jonny-Leibowitz-cum-lately muslums.
Muslums say the the Hebrews changed the bible – 2000 years before moe-hammett was even born, in order to make the scions of Ishmael the bad guys. All this proves is that God wrote the bible, and some latter day satans can't change it.
Rock on!
With Mr. Obama's kowtowing to all the dictators in the world makes one wonder whose side he's on, and with the panty-waist press cheering him on there appears to be no end in sight for the Self-abaser-in-Chief.
I hate to say this, but your ignorance of both Islam and Jesus Christ is glaring obvious and almost offense. Your intention is in the right place, but please go and obtain adequate knowledge of your topic before sounding off in the future.
LizardLips, It is perfectly clear whose side Obama is on. Perfectly Clear. The real observation is whose side is Obama not on? And that my LizardLipped friend is also obvious. he is not on OUR side or the side of the Constitution.
Death to Tyrants!
Air the bleepin' Muhammed bleepin' South Park episode before I bleep the F'ing bleep out of you and your bleeping network!

There, that should get it on the air in it's original form.
Matt and Trey, I will fight for you!
Right before our very eyes, we are witnessing what makes islamic fundamentalists, TERRORISTS. We have witnessed a unique example of a terrorist act that did not fire one shot, take a life, rather succeed in instilling fear. And that’s what they do best! This is another example of what terrorism, on American soil, can achieve.
It’s always been there, some saw and continue to see it, some are aware, some are starting to pay closer attention and then there are those, who unfortunately have no clue whatsoever. The latter not withstanding, that is way too many Americans who have to become deeply involved in understanding what it is that’s going on around us regarding these fanatics.
continued…..
Our pathetic politicians with their elitist mentality only THINK they can handle these terrorists when the reality is that these terrorists could care less about their extended hand of friendship. They need politicians to get to America and they are damn close in achieving this goal. I could likely expect the trolls to fulfill me with their excentric philosophies as to why I may be wrong, but frankly, I don’t give a shit so say what you want. You’re a fool anyway in believing that it’s not happening right there in front of you. This ain’t “sky is falling” logic.
The Bad Muslim
"The Barbary Wars:http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/barbar... "During the Crusades (1095-1295), Muslim pirates operating from bases in North Africa had plundered ships carrying Crusaders and pilgrims and sold many Christians into slavery. "
The Great Muslim
The Moors:http://www.squarecirclez.com/blog/math-of-the-moo...
"In 711 AD, barely 100 years after the establishment of Islam invaded Europe – and made many improvements."
A couple of points:
Parker and Stone do not cash in on hate as they are "equal opportunity offenders" and stand behind each episode they make.
Another great episode of South Park that exercises our 1st Amendment Right as Americans and push back to the liberal media (they are stuck here!), trial lawyers that want to help those offended after watching a f'in cartoon and last to those who forget or don't remember 9/11 or we're at war with Islam.
I needed to vent thanks.
Thanks for the info! That's great news!

What a backward and silly article. Tilting toward windmills of "Muslims" I see. Booga booga! If Muslims cared about "non-believers" why don't they attack atheists? Or Rome? This weak crap is an amusement for a lot of people – I will forward it to them – they could use a laugh.
outstanding!
Comedy Central succumbed to terrorism, pure and simple. The only way to beat terrorists is to stand up to them. Yes, they may kill some of us.They may kill a lot of us. But they cannot kill us all, and the only way they can win is if we surrender. Props to Matt and Trey.
There's no question who's side he's on… And it's not ours.
If Soetero was "on our side," he would have called a press conference about this and did some of his mighty speechifications and rhetorics against our enemies… Instead, he went out for some ribs. (Probably goat ribs…)
I was being facetious. The man is nefarious.

It's not about Free Speech. It's about capitalism, folks. Comedy Central has a sizable investment in South Park, and can't afford to have its creators shot and decapitated by a muslim fanatic. And while I admire Parker and Stone for having the guts to stand up for their convictions, the lives of other Comedy Central employees are not theirs to risk.
The MSM is losing our war against Islamic fascism for us. Freedom of speech is the first casualty. They have been bullied into silence and become their accomplices by protecting and coddling the most intolerant and violent religious group of them all — Muslims.
MSM is making up lies about the Tea Party protesters being intolerant and violent, and a protecting real life violent extremists, muslims, making death threats.
.
The bleeps were not part of the game. Comedy Central ordered them against the creators' wishes.

your so right look what theyve done in Englad France and Canada
This is just one more of many examples of popular culture breaking down into group think.
Islam is a very good example of Group think. The ordinary citizens under its flag have many and diverse ways of working around it. If they get caught they receive punishment (even though their own Mullas are guilty of the very same things)
Look at the demonstrations in Iran, it's not as though they like it that way but not enough of them are fed up yet, not enough believe in freedom. It would have help their cause if America came to their defense but no Obama wants them to have nukes. T
he communists did the same thing their people didn't like it either and they protested and when the communist government ran out of their citizens money and spent all they had in oil they could no longer hold the people back.
and now the last bastion of hope America is succumbing to the same thing.
The fault lies not with Government but with the people. The People of the USA are bringing this down on their own heads.
There is stil time to stop it but it takes guts and determination and allot of people untied for the cause.
What south park producers have done should be a rallying cry to all of us who see the hypocrisy of not only their actions but the action of our government.
Obama is at this very moment planing to host a Muslim Entrepreneurship Summit.
They do not see WAR on the horizon they see "Peace in our time"
But our children? Maybe they should consider Shia law and look at the societies who embrace such clan like structures.
You will take nothing and like it infidel

Demonstrating that underneath his arrogance, nastiness and supposed irreverence, MacFarlane has no more spine than anyone else in Hollywood. He might be brilliant at times, but he's still a coward.
I'm waiting for just one courageous American on the tube or print, to say "If you don't like our way of doing things here, GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!
Ask Salman Rushdie, (still walking around after 30 years) Ayaan Hirsi Ali (10 years), and all the others who have been threatened by these idiots, how big a "risk" it really is. Penn Gillette is right. It is about what is MORALLY right. Check out Europe…the more you show fear, the worse they become!

These Muslim thugs are no different than the despicable MS 13 gang or any other gang or organized criminal enterprise. They all feed off the weak whether its some stranger on the street or within their own community, i.e., honor killings.
It is time to take the religion out from under the protective umbrella of our society and laws and turn it into either just another fraternal organization or what Islam is, a street gang. Religions, if thought of as a fraternal organization would have its tax exempt status removed from the books, holidays removed from the calender and from recognized official governmental affairs, i.e, prayers in Congress, National Day of Prayer, etc. Threats and intimidation in the name of Islam should not be treated any different than threats from any other street gang and their practitioners prosecuted and jailed.
Otherwise, we will become a nation paralyzed by fear of intimidation, threats and thugs running around attacking everyone that doesn't agree with them. With Islam that is what is even taught to its religious drones who are free to threaten a television show and what do are law enforcement agencies do? They say well it's the practice of the freedom of religion and at this every moment Americans are dying in Afghanistan to prevent this very occurrence.
We are slowly becoming not only a failed society, but a dying and soon to be dead one with religious thugs running around beating and killing anybody they don't like.
Amen Lorben – I'm sick to death of the moooslim sympathizers!

Amazing that a religion that is as divisive, backward, and violent as Islam is given the reverence it is by the media, while the Christian religion, which urges us to treat others as we would be treated, is scandalized and demeaned. Our news media is oddly detached from the views of the majority of Americans.
Muhammad Ali is arguably the greatest boxer ever…his guts and determination were inspiring!
