Judicial Watch issued its Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2009″ list a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been waiting for MSM coverage of this story–as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Geithner, Eric Holder, Charles Rangel, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, John Murtha, Roland Burris, Rep. Jesse Jackson, and John Ensign are this year’s trophy winners.
For the record, Ensign is the only Republican and President Bush has never been on the list. I wonder if the Ds and Rs were flipped, if the MSM would have covered the story because I have not been able to find anything on this story from the major networks. I found the story handily on the FoxNation but nowhere else in the MSM.
After Senator Harry Reid, in 2005, called the Republican Congress the most corrupt in history, he may want to look at the 2009 list and retract that statement. It’s refreshing to see that the United States government is so well represented on this list, including the President, Speaker of the House, Secretary of the Treasury, Attorney General, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, House Financial Services Committee Chairman (Frank), and Chairman of Housing, Banking, and Urban Affairs (Dodd).
Furthermore, Obama has been on Judicial Watch’s Most Corrupt list each year since 2006—in 2008, and 2007, and 2006 (dishonorable mention).
Because so many high-ranking elected officials in Congress and members of Obama’s cabinet, in addition to the President himself are deep-rooted in corruption year after year, the United States has joined the ranks of other corrupt governments throughout the world. Sadly, parents cannot even look to our President and elected officials as role models for our children because I’ve never heard a child say, “When I grow up, I want to be a corrupt politician.” The shame and dishonor to their family names, the Founders, and the American people that these people bring to the USA should not be tolerated anymore.
Here’s a sample. The subject is — who else? — soon-to-be-former Senator Chris Dodd:
This marks two years in a row for Senator Dodd, who made the 2008 “Ten Most Corrupt” list for his corrupt relationship with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and for accepting preferential treatment and loan terms from Countrywide Financial, a scandal which still dogs him. In 2009, the scandals kept coming for the Connecticut Democrat. In 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Senate ethics complaint against Dodd for undervaluing a property he owns in Ireland on his Senate Financial Disclosure forms. Judicial Watch’s complaint forced Dodd to amend the forms. However, press reports suggest the property to this day remains undervalued. Judicial Watch also alleges in the complaint that Dodd obtained a sweetheart deal for the property in exchange for his assistance in obtaining a presidential pardon (during the Clinton administration) and other favors for a long-time friend and business associate. The false financial disclosure forms were part of the cover-up. Dodd remains the head the Senate Banking Committee.

We recognize the greater level of corruption existing now, but it’s been building for many years.
Turbo charged corruption.
The washington corruption and political favors have always been there. Bob Dole for example got the airbase expansion in wichita. This group ads about three zeros to pork and sends it to projects that are not even needed.
Since no one in MSM wants to touch this list, a full-page ad should be plastered in newspapers and on billboards across the country, paid by Americans who want our politicians exposed. I would gladly contribute to that project. What a shame that we have joined the rest of the corrupt governments and are no longer the beacon we once were.
There is too much tolerance to corruption…and its because of our loathing to prosecute politicians…
Too many in the positions of power state that it might not be proper to prosecute politicians, because it would lead to "witch hunts"; the example I will use is Senator Reid's own assertion about the 2005 Republican Congress…
The problem becomes one of "tolerance creep"; sooner or later, we then have to (sarc) "tolerate" (/sarc) a Congress and Administration like this one…
Time to make the rules strictly apply to everyone…if you don't like the idea, don't run for national office…
You would have to conclude corruption is not that big of a thing if you are a lib or a Dem. It goes hand in hand with the pass Dems get when they defile individual women as long as they vote the "right" way on "womens" issues. Also, libs and Dems can utter racist thoughts and the race hustlers Jesse and Al have nothing to say. Consistency is not the strong suit of the left.
They all should be given a fair trial and then hanged.

This is about to change, and drastically so. With the rise of influence of the internet, constituents are now much more aware of dealings in Washington. The evidence of this is how many on the list are now vulnerable in their next election.

I actually think that those in public office should beheld to a HIGHER standard than everyone else, and should be punished more severely than everyone else when convicted of ethics violations. More jail time, reparations made and pensions rescinded.

Michelle MaLkin has been warning us of the corruption in this administration for quite some time. Maybe it is time the American people put up such a howl it cannot be ignored. I like the idea of starting a campaign to advertise this finding! A few bucks apiece could add up to lots of billboards!

We need to build more jails….
We could send this article to all the local newspapers in our community. That would be a start because a lot of people are not internet savvy and don't know how to search. Also, if each and every one of us printed up 100 black and white flyers at office depot , we could distribute them to local establishments or even pin them up on the bulletin boards at grocery stores.

As proper punishment, I might suggest that all of them be forced to share a common jail cell with Barney Frank (except Pelosi). As bad as the boys are, no one should be forced to share accommodations with her. Waterboarding would be infinitely preferable and considerably more humane.

At the end of the day a larger factor to consider is the fact that if it’s true — and it is — that Obama is Constitutionally ineligible for POTUS, then it is also true that the vice president is ineligible because he’s part of that fraud.
It is also true that the Speaker of the House is ineligible because she’s a part of that fraud. It is also true that Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State is ineligible because she’s also a part of that fraud. And that list is so long that nobody, could tell you how to unravel that and how to take that fraud apart and put the country back together before the country collapses. Leaving one to conclude that there are more powerful forces in play than just the suspected usurper in the White House who have everything to gain by making sure the eligibility and corruption issues are never broached, much less investigated. The truth is, it doesn’t matter where BHO was born. It matters that his father was never an American citizen. …And as long as people are chasing around a birth certificate, you cannot get around to talking about what we need to talk about in that regard. I think things like this is what makes me and many other Americans so upset about the state of our nation. Year after year we have the ACTUAL Corrupt politicians, which even a blind man cannot miss, calling those who actually try to help the people and play by the rules, CORRUPT. It is apparent in so many things that the MSM is doing all they can to perpetrate these False allegations, from the Actual Corrupt to the Falsely accused corrupt. So while we have the most corrupt politicians in our country RUNNING the country, the Main Stream Media, and CORRUPTING the MINDS of Americans, we have those who are actually trying to help the American people being slandered and accused of the very things that the CORRUPT do, By those very CORRUPT people. Have you ever heard of the playground term, "He who smelled it, dealt it"?… the Democrats/ Corrupt are the accusers saying, 'I smell corruption and it is YOU (the non-corrupt) that "dealt" it'. So basically, every time a Democrat, especially those listed as Most Corrupt, point out a corruption or lie on the other side of the aisle, I find it safe to assume that it is THEY, the accusers, who accuse without fact or truth to back it up, as the REAL Corrupt persons. I think that's interesting. But I also think that the COnstitution has served us very well. If we start from scratch, I think it should be used as the template, so to speak, and then build in the safeguards of nothing like this happening again. A lot was left up to interpretation, that the Amendments supposedly Correct. Granted, you can go all Whoopie Goldberg and say that slavery will make a come back. "All men created equal" is a good start. That's if we were to start from scratch.

I agree it is time to take some form of action to inform others. I can't help but think that Breitbart, Malkin and others started with just an idea that was driven by a conviction that the truth needs to be told.

Best case. We start something that catches on and exposes this corruption regardless of party affiliation to the point where the outrage of the people can't be ignored.
