REP. CHARLES RANGEL: Good morning, kids. I’m your Uncle Chollie in Washington. I help your Uncle Sam take care of you and your family. Today, I’m here to introduce a very special person. He’ll explain how you–our youngest citizens–can partner with him to make America a country we can all be proud of once more. Or for the first time. Whatever. Girls and boys, the President of the United States.
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Thanks, Uncle Chollie. Hi kids, it’s me, President Obama. I enjoyed our visit last year. Lots of your teachers asked if I would speak again this year, preferably for the last hour of the school day every Friday until June. I’ve agreed, because I know how much you need your sleep.
Don’t worry, I’ll still have plenty of time to fix the broken country George Bush left me. Like my Saturday radio speeches to grownups, these talks are all taped in advance when I’m not playing golf, so all I do is read what somebody else wrote and then I read it off these marvelous inventions we call TelePrompters.
Anyway, in weeks to come, we’ll discuss fun topics like Hot Czars™, the souped-up, small-scale vehicles my Michigan auto company will build for kids who are into power trips; and we’ll play Tic Tax Dough, a new Monopoly-like board game developed by a youngster in my cabinet named Timmy Geithner. A special treat: the First Lady will sub for me one day next month and tell you a story about the Keebler Elf’s plans to turn you into a gobblin’.
OK if I get serious for a few minutes? Last year, when folks were in a better mood, I spoke about the importance of a good education and setting high goals for yourselves. Today, with so many people talking about me like a dog, I’ve decided to begin with a down-to-earth discussion of what adults call “politics.”
Most of you probably already know whether your Mom and her partner are Democrats or Republicans. If they’re Democrats, they’ve taught you that a powerful government will watch over you all your life in exchange for your loyalty and just about every dime you make. If they’re Republicans, they’ve taught you to be self-reliant, thrifty and privately generous, which is hurtful to the millions of people who work for our wonderful bureaucracy and are only trying to help the poor and less fortunate.
Whatever their party, no problem. This is America, for now. However, when grown-ups criticize me, it doesn’t matter whether they’re Democrats or Republicans. It’s wrong. It hurts my self-esteem and makes me lash out. You really don’t want a president who has thousands of nuclear weapons pouting, now do you?
I know, you’re just kids — how you can stop adults from talking trash about me? One way: act out. For example, elementary schoolers can put salt in the sugar bowl. Or run away from home. Junior and high school students, flip the grownups a sneaky bird. (Check out my technique on YouTube.) Or program a parental block on Fox News, NFL games, and Dancing with the Stars.
Sure, these actions may have consequences — for you. But if you are punished for defending me, your free speech rights have been violated, and you are a victim of domestic political abuse. Don’t remain silent. Tell a teacher. Tell a coach. Tell a TelePrompter and believe me, I’ll hear about it. Or read about it. Same thing.
Let’s talk about money briefly. If you’re lucky, Mom and her partner support you and your brothers and sisters. Well, Mrs. Obama and I are like your second set of parents. As president, I give you tons of cool stuff you probably take for granted: school lunches and buses and nice roads and beautiful parks and food stamps and weather forecasts, and so on. These goodies aren’t free: I pay for them. So, where do I get the money?
Actually, most of it comes from your folks. Just like you, they give me an allowance. Is your allowance enough to do what you want? Neither is mine. So pretty soon, I’ll be asking your Mom and Dad to make some sacrifices – like canceling that trip to Vegas, where they were just going to blow the rent money anyway – and increase my allowance.
I know you wish you could do more to help. Uncle Chollie and his friends Harry and Nancy are working on that. In a few weeks, they’ll pass the “Motor Scooter Act,” a law giving kids from first grade up the right to register and vote at school the day before elections. You’re never too young to participate in the “Democratic” process. Ha ha.
For now, here’s another way to help: pretty soon, classrooms across America will be visited by people who represent someone named Mr. Gallup. They’ll ask you questions. Your teachers will give you these questions ahead of time, as well as the correct answers. It’ll count as a major test grade.
Well, that’s enough for today. For show-and-tell next week, I’ll bring along a copy of our dead constitution and two guests, Dr. Kagan and Dr. Sotomayor, who’ll explain how they intend to breathe new life into this decaying charter of negative liberties.
See you soon.

"Let me be clear"…………blah, blah, blah……….
…Blah…..blah…blah…..if you think you've got it tough……try sleeping next to a Woolkie……
Our dear reader. Isn't a teleprompter reader realy just a cheap actor, who can't remember their lines.
Sorry…..can't find an open thread
TIME TO HIT THE PHONES, BIG TIME GUYS. 2ND AMENDMENT IS BACK IN PLAY….LIKE EVERY OTHER BILL THAT GETS SHOT DOWN….ZOMBIE GUN CONTROL BILL NOW IS BEING HANDED OFF TO REGULATORY COMMITTEE….JUST SO THE GOV'T CAN MAKE SURE GUNS ARE IN "RESPONSIBLE" HANDS.
===============================================
Senate Democrats called a meeting next week to discuss regulating gun sales:
“Firearms in Commerce: Assessing the Need for Reform in the Federal Regulatory Process”
NOTICE OF COMMITTEE HEARING
The Senate Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a hearing entitled "Firearms in Commerce: Assessing the Need for Reform in the Federal Regulatory Process" for Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 226 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
THESE GUYS WON'T BE HAPPY TILL THEY GET THE GUNS.
Hmm, which is greater: Obama's Age or IQ?
Sure would like to know who his Puppet Master is.
…you forgot to mention the Small Arms Treaty that the United Nations is also trying to get the Senate to ratify?
AND the EPA "considering" to do away with ALL LEAD products, which included ammunition. They've since recanted and 'amended' the ammunition substitution of lead …but it is still on the table. Yep …they want our guns.
everytime I see a photo of him with that look on his face, I see a guy who can't stand what the USA is supposed to be, everytime I see a photo of michelle, I see an angry black woman who hates the USA for what it is. The two of them combined hate white people, hate educated people, hate people who think for themselves, hate free markets, hate…(fill in the blanks)…..
Texas, I saw the post about this on Hotair.com a few days ago. It actually is a benefit to us, as it clarifies alot of 'cloudy' regulatory processes for firearms businesses. Used to be they either got a warning (not strong enough) or got their license pulled (too strong, and is applied where a small fine could be instituted instead) I read up on it, and from what I can gather, the only people who will be against it are the gun-grabbers. I'll try to find the link and add it.
here it is, as well as the approval from the NRA.
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Reform and Firearms Modernization Act of 2009 – Amends the federal criminal code to revise the civil penalties for violations of firearms law and the procedures for assessing such penalties. Requires fines to be based upon the nature and severity of the violation, the size of the firearms business involved, and the prior record of the firearm’s licensee. Prohibits consideration of the amount of fines or license revocations imposed by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in the retention, promotion, or transfer of such agents.
Revises the definition of “willfully” for purposes of firearms violations and standards for criminal violations of firearms recordkeeping requirements.
Requires the Attorney General to: (1) make preliminary determinations on firearms license applications and notify applicants in writing of a proposed denial; and (2) establish guidelines for ATF inspections, examinations, or investigations of possible firearms violations.
Permits an owner of a firearms business whose license is expired, surrendered, or revoked 60 days to liquidate inventory.
Allows purchasers of existing firearms businesses the right to cure firearms violations attributable to such businesses.
Allows the transfer, possession, and importation of machineguns for industry testing, training, and film production.
Eliminates the requirement of written permission for the use of a handgun for lawful purposes by a minor (under age 18) where a parent or legal guardian is present at all times during such use.
Prohibits the Attorney General from electronically retrieving inactive firearms licensee information by name or personal identification code.
Directs the Attorney General to authorize the importation of all frames or receivers of rifles, or barrels for firearms other than handguns, if the importation is for repair or replacement purposes.
The NRA favors passage of S941 as well:
As we’ve been reporting for months, Senator Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) have introduced S. 941, the “Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Reform and Firearms Modernization Act of 2009” in the U.S. Senate. Representatives Steve King (R-Iowa) and Zack Space (D-Ohio) have introduced a companion bill—H.R. 2296—in the U.S. House. The bills would roll back unnecessary restrictions, correct errors, and codify longstanding congressional policies in the firearms arena. These bipartisan bills are a vital step to modernize and improve BATFE operations.
Of highest importance, S. 941and H.R. 2296 totally rewrite the system of administrative penalties for licensed dealers, manufacturers and importers of firearms. Currently, for most violations, BATFE can only give a federal firearms license (FFL) holder a warning, or revoke his license.
S. 941 and H.R. 2296 would allow fines or license suspensions for less serious violations, while still allowing license revocation for the kind of serious violations that would block an investigation or put guns in the hands of criminals. This will help prevent the all-too-common situations where BATFE has revoked licenses for insignificant technical violations—such as improper use of abbreviations or filing records in the wrong order.
Actually that doesn't help me at all. What the Constitution guarantees me should NOT have to be registered and monitored and tracked and regulated by the gov't.
It is my right to own guns. Who's business is that but mine. If I commit a crime with it, we have laws in place to deal with that. The law is very clear on it's position regarding the use of firearms in the commission of a crime.
I do not need nor do I want the gov't to intervene further. Their abysmal track record in defending citizens from violent crimes committed by illegal arms brought into this country every day along the borders they refuse to seal and secure is the primary cause for these weapons falling into the hands of criminals. Very few crimes are committed by registered gun owners using registered weapons.
More regulation won't change that in the slightest….and you'll pardon my SKEPTICISM as to the motives of THIS government claiming they want to HELP me.
Maybe when we have a RESPONSIVE, REPRESENTATIVE gov't in place, I will consider this. BUT NOT NOW.
Soros
Thank God for the NRA lobby. It is largely due to their vigilance that more idiot gun laws aren't passed every day.
Makes you wonder why DC's so adamant about getting our guns. Why don't they trust us? They expect us to trust them…..bwahahahaha
Deuse!
Yur killin me, Smalls. MONOTOR'S AIN'T CHEAP!
bwahahahahahaha…..SPEWWWW….ahahahahahah
Texas, I am as strong of a supporter of our 2nd amendment rights as you are. I truly am. This has absolutely nothing to do with private ownership. It is simply clearing up the ambiguous wording and haphazard way in which BATFE has been dealing with firearms businesses, like being able to dictate the dollar amount for fines (without guidelines), reduces the number of licenses pulled due to typo's or bookkeeping errors, and actually gives firearms businesses back some of the rights that were taken away during the last gun-grabbing legislation that went out.
Actually, I'm very disappointed with the NRA of late. Although they backed down on endorsing Harry Reid, they still refuse to endorse Sharon Angle who has an A+ rating with the NRA. I believe they have been infiltrated. They need to clean house and get back to basics supporting their constituents (aka members).
We need a new stimulus package to finance the production and distribution of more blanks.
S941 may be okay….though so far, the law of UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES seems to be in full swing in DC, and with the current clowns in power….I'm not even sure we should address this one till after Nov.
There has to be a reason this Dem congress is so very eager to pass this right now…while they still have the votes. That fact alone should give us pause.
I appreciate that in a perfect world some of these measures would no doubt be as "helpful" as they seem….but just read this on again….
"Requires the Attorney General to: (1) make preliminary determinations on firearms license applications and notify applicants in writing of a proposed denial;"
So HOLDER will make a determination of firearms license applications? HOLDER? The guy who said, and I quote, "The Constitution guarantees the RIGHT to bear arms. It does not guarantee everyone is QUALIFIED TO DO SO."
Does that not worry you? Holder deciding if YOU are COMPETENT to own a gun?
HR45 actually CALLS for a MANDATORY YEARLY PSYCHOLOGICAL EVAL FOR EVERY GUN OWNER. And if they are "determined" to be psychologically unfit….the "standards" of that determination have yet to be revealed, btw, there IS NO APPEAL. YOU CANNOT LEGALLY PURCHASE OR OWN A GUN AGAIN. PERIOD.
H.R. 2296 would "totally rewrite the system of administrative penalties for licensed dealers, manufacturers and importers of firearms. Currently, for most violations, BATFE can only give a federal firearms license (FFL) holder a warning, or revoke his license.
Putting who in charge of any determination? The Fed gov't./..the same people who can't manage to keep tens of thousands of illegal, automatic weapons from crossing our border every single day?
Why doesn't DOJ enforce laws already on the books to prevent the flow of illegal arms across the border? Why doesn't that bother the Senate or the House? Why are they worried about more regulation of legal gun sellers when our porous border brings most of the illegal weapons into this country every year? How about they handle THAT problem first…and go from there.
Don't you not find it odd that DOJ is being handed exponentially greater power over LEGAL GUN OWNERS AND SELLERS after two years of demonstrating in clear terms their utter UNWILLINGNESS to prosecute anyone but spies… while confessed foreign and domestic terrorists sit in jail on our dime and will likely NEVER see the inside of a court room?
Do you seriously trust DOJ not to abuse the expanded power this bill gives them? IMO giving that kind of ABSOLUTE regulatory…ie…unsupervised power to ANY AG is nuts! It's not LEGAL gun sellers and owners who are causing crime. It's ILLEGAL WEAPONS SELLERS AND BUYERS. This bill, far as I can see, does not address one single issue relevant to that crime statistic, so who does it give absolute power over our 2nd amendment right to?
DOJ, AG, and executive branch! Do we seriously want to go there…now? In this political climate? Why?
Nope …too obvious. Between the Bildebergs and the Council on Foreign Relations, there is a definite UNKNOWN behind the curtains pulling the strings …there may even be a few. But Soros is just part of of the mix …not the MASTER.
…..Grammatico, you magnificent satirist !…….
Yeh….
You're probably right in that Soros is a player in most of the "one world gov't" groups. The UN is even a shill organization for them…as is the FED.
We really need to educate ourselves about these loons and what they do on a world scale. I just read another article…can't remember where, that the UN is gearing up to establish a world governing body that supercedes ALL FOREIGN GOV'T LAW.
Yeh…..that'll happen. They can wish. But I don't think even the EU would buy that one. Least not Germany or France. One world gov't will have to resign itself to the manipulation of markets and economies. They ain't gonna sell the UN gov't to anyone sane anytime soon.
I wish we'd throw those weasles out of their prime NYC real estate….use that building for income. But of course it's NYC we're talkin about here. They'd rather die than admit they're American. They are one reason this whole "one worlditits" is spreading. The GZM being just one glaring example.
Gene pool maintanence.
Careful there, TS, the NRA has sold us out on several occasions. Just do a google "NRA sellout". There's quite a bit of information on the NRA's dirty, backroom deals with the dims. It's a real eyeopener.
I'm glad someone besides me sees the Chewbacca resemblance.
http://dailycaller.com/2010/09/09/senate-committe...
Texas, take a look at the article, it appears that, for the moment, this is much ado about nothing. That said, it would be prudent to keep watching this nothing very closely.
The ones you mentioned are part of it, but take a very close look at the useless nations.
Hey there Oldman …I know. The Spider Web is thick …but there definitely is a Sherman Tank in there somewhere. I am not the smartest, but I've known about & watched Soros for over 15 years …other than Fox and a few talking heads, the drive-by media refuses to admit his evil intentions. But I still haven't been able to pinpoint the TRUE Puppet Master(s).
Love the satire! Too bad most liberals won't get it. In fact, they will probably think this is the real text and there is nothing wrong with it.
I heard that the first time a secret service agent heard her braying, he almost pissed himself…..
Got mine covered in Saran Wrap……..
Yeh….
The problem with this bill is the same problem we've had for two years in congress. When they can't get in the front door, they stuff it into another 10 THOUSAND PAGE bill and pass it by a majority of "I did it myself in the broom closet last night a 4am….procedural rule number 3082493847329a.)
Prime example….did you notice yesterday when it "slipped out" that somewhere in HC or the budget bill or some other gazillion page bill….they put in new regulatory laws on the reporting of Gold Sales? Now every ounce has to be recorded and tracked by the gov't?"
Why……….uh…I dunno,
THE VAT TAX THAT QUEEN NANCY WILL GET NO MATTER WHAT SHE HAS TO DO…MOST LIKELY IN THE LAME DUCK SESSION?
CALCULATE THE PRICE OF AN 18% VAT ON ONE OUNCE OF GOLD! That will bring in a fortune for dems to throw at whatever new airhead "plan" they dream up to "save the wurld." And even though we made it clear we don't WANT IT….trust me….it will show up, buried deep in some "reform" bill we do want…..or some budget bill we have to have.
And if she can't pull that off….Obama will just pass it down the executive branch food chain as new regulatory law.
That's why this gun bill and HR45 are SO DANGEROUS.
They want the guns and they mean to get them. They even tried to sneak a law regulating LEAD used in bullets, buried it in another gazillion page bill that almost got through. Thanks to one person reading the whole bill it was caught just before it went to the floor and removed. Look for this bill, the lead regulatory bill, and HR45 to keep appearing in every bill until they sneak it past.
I don't trust them as far as I can throw the Washington Monument. They want us unarmed. We let these clowns start down this road and we might as well pack it in. And I agree the NRA better get it's act together or they're gonna have to do without MY DUES! I DON'T NEED TO PAY FOR THIS KIND OF CRAPPOLA.
This article about the teleprompter is so funny!
cheater….:-))))))
Then think billionaires, ex presidents, ex secretaries of state, setting senators, college elitists, etc, and most of the European government hierarchy. They are considered the movers behind the NWO(one world government). It's not controlled by one single individual, but by a consortium of individuals functioning like a corporate board with a chairman. Reason: different geographic locations and interests.
The easiest way to pick them out individually is to see who is for social justice, cap and trade, gun control, world community, redistribution of wealth, the global warming, fiasco, etc.
A must read.

Good and at least we are not talking about the nut burning Koran's again! The MSM is all over it and will probably broadcast it live to the world. Thanks America haters!
I just read what you wrote, and I almost pissed MYSELF!
Superb sarcasm. You've done it again. Really enjoyed the photo selection also.
Do you think Purina makes Wookie chow?……..gotta be cheaper than lobster…
Brilliant idea!!!
…'course, it gives a whole new meaning to "wrap the rascal"…
Dear Lord, must…find….saran wrap!!! BAHAHHAHAHAHA
I trust DOJ/Holder about as far as I can heave an elephant without a cannon…
Over my dead, cold corpse.
Amen!
And throwing the Washington Monument image was much better than my "elephant without a cannon"…and far more apt.
Sarcasm is an art form, you sir, are an Artiste
Many thanks for the laughs.
Well, his IQ used to be greater than his age, but the tables were turned once he got out of his teen years.
"Mom and her partner"… boy, did you nail that one. I haven't laughed that hard since the hogs ate my brother! You are the Crown Prince of sarcasm!! All Hail!!
Well, it seems that a fellow named George Soros has Obama scat smeared all over his hand, wrist and elbow…
always prepared. I was a Cub scout but got kicked out for snacking on a Brownie….
I was the kid your Mom wouldn't let you play with…………
The kid she *tried* to keep me from playing with LOL
"but, Mama, you always said I should be nice…" "there's nice, and then there's *nice*, young lady!" BAHAHAHHAAHAHA
…although, I'm so very grateful, as a mother, I only had a boy <snort>
I've got a daughter and two grandaughters………no regrets…..
I had reason to fear….the dreaded "mother's curse"…you know? "I hope you have a daughter, who acts *just* like you!"
Dodged that bullet
A mini- mini me would be horrible to behold LOL I'll let my son give me grand daughters to spoil…and to turn his hair gray <snickering>
watch out for the Overton Window
I often wondered how I'd raise a son. Of course, I never really raised my daughter. My first wife sent me the 'Dear John' letter when I was in 'Nam.
Oh, if only this is all he were up to… but we know better. Thanks for the laugh- we need it!
Oh Deuse, that simply makes my heart ache. I'm so sorry.
Some females don't deserve the good men they're blessed with.
Thank you for the kind words.
Take care and have a good weekend…
You're more than welcome.
You be safe.
