Fox News has signed former Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin as a contributor:

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, will take her conservative message to Fox News as a regular commentator, the cable channel announced Monday.
“I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News,” Palin said in a statement posted on the network’s Web site. “It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.”
Fox said that according to the multiyear deal, Palin will offer political commentary and analysis. She also will host occasional episodes of Fox News “Real American Stories,” a series featuring true inspirational stories about Americans.
Considering the fact that Ms. Palin recently ran a close second behind Sec. of State Hilary Clinton as the most admired woman in America, and considering that Ms. Palin’s book has sold astronomically well since its release on Nov. 17th, it’s a no-brainer that a network would pick her up. It’s not a bad idea to have such a popular woman affiliated with your brand.
But we expect the traditional media outlets to jump onto the old “Fox News is biased and Sarah Palin is shallow” angle of this story before you can say “Hockey Mom.” They will charge Fox News with blatant political cheerleading by hiring a person many believe to be a likely presidential candidate in 2012. And, they will attempt to diminish Gov. Palin as a “personality” by claiming she would rather be on television than finishing her term as Governor (they just hate the fact that they couldn’t make that “quitter” thing stick, don’t they?) Although, you never know — maybe some of them could surprise us.
The real story is this: A popular, telegenic former Governor who ran on the national ticket one year ago will now be a frequent contributor to the highest-rated cable news network. And, considering that CNN and MSNBC are bleeding money and viewers, it makes one wonder: Why didn’t they try to hire the governor? What fun it would have been to watch Sarah vs. Katie II: This Time, It’s Personal. Could it be that their blatant political agenda keeps the MSM from making sound business decisions?
That noise you’re hearing outside your windows right now is the sound of liberals’ heads exploding in rage and frustration.
One other important note, Ms. Palin will most likely be working without a teleprompter. Imagine that.

Commentator is a good first start. Fox News should give future President Palin a full hour, like they do huckabee. Not only would their ratings go even further through the roof, but that would drive the d-crat socialist extremists even more insane, i.e. a WIN-WIN.
Sarah vs. Katie II: This Time, It’s Personal
I'd pony up for pay per view for that. Especially if it involved paint ball guns.
YIPPEE!
Anything that causes the Lib media cabal to 'explode in rage,' I'm for. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer. I love watching people like Olbermann writhe with anger as they desperately try to figure out how everything could go so wrong in a year where he (and they) had the 'government of their dreams.' Imagine thinking back to February 2009 when people like Olbermann, Matthews, Couric et al were sipping champagne at having essentially rolled 7-7-7 on the bandit. Not so much 'sipping champagne' going on today, is there? And the cherry on the cake is that as bad as 2009 was for Libs, 2010 will be worse. Publicly or privately, they know this.
Oh, yeah! I'm on board for that one! Even without the paint ball guns!
Liberals aren't raging over this, we think it's funny and we expected her to end up on Fox. She's got no shot at the presidency, so she might as well be a commentator. It'll be fun to see the recaps of her gaffes over on MSNBC.
Liberal Speaking >>>> Duh. We're not shocked and Palin being a commentator for Fox News may give her actually more intelligent things to say now that she'll be up to date with what's actually going on. I'm all for it. Especially if she's the most admired woman… I prefer admired women to not only be knowledgeable, but also be able to articulate that knowledge. Play on Palin… Let's hear what you've got to say. Let not your ignorance guide you.
This is a brilliant move for both Fox News and Sarah Palin. Of course Fox will continue to skyrocket in their ratings in not being "State run media" and bringing on the nemesis of the extreme left. I for one will be watching her to see if she will be the rising star of 2012. She will definitely add to the 2010 elections with her ability to 'call it for what it is' knack. Something that is missing in the GOP. News like this lifts my spirits of hope for my glorious country and its hopeful future of being taken back from the Progressive onslaught of the last thirty years.
I think she will do well on television. I'm looking forward to seeing her.
Who else here got the irony of this post?
And again on this one…
Who else here got the irony of this post?
You make me laugh! Be sure and tell us about it tomorrow! I for one cannot stomach their incessant whining.
Great news. Fox has moved the network so far above the rest of the media (all media) combined. I suspect you will see the opposition folding, one by one, and joining the unemployment lines. I will be an avid reader of Sarah's common sense approach and acute insight. The opposition quakes, and they should quake.
saying the name of Palin will incite nearly the same reaction as Limbaugh and Beck.. i LOVE it! hahahaha
There is a reason that Fox News makes more $$$ than the other big-three Obama-News networks combined. Smart – very smart.
Got it! ROTFLMAO
They also make more money than all the other cable new networks, combined.
The interwebs and blogs are already going crazy over this one, if you would like some entertainment go visit a few of the lefty blogs. HA!
One thing about her is undeniably true and cannot be said about any other politician of note. She stood up against cronyism and corruption in her own party in a substantive way that really benefited the voters in her state. Name anyone else who's done that and I'll eat my hat. Moderate americans understand that the left hates her
Congratulations Sarah and Fox – An excellent combination! Look forward to the newest spectator sport – liberal head exploding.
Sarah Palin will have a lot of success bringing her story directly to the people instead of through the filter of vicious hag's interviews (yes, Katie, you're a vicious media hag). I've read about halfway through Going Rogue and she really is a terrific American, as is her husband Todd. Their lives on the frontier are so different from my sheltered city life, and reading their story was a breath of fresh air. I just don't think she needs a lot of air time. Reagan had 3 minutes on the radio a day. It was plenty.
I heard Palin will be lip-sinking the shows and Catherine O'Hara (SCTV, Home Alone) will be playing Palin's voice.
Who else here got the irony of this post?
I love it! Sarah is not done with the left by a long shot, real America will support her in whatever endeavor she may follow. I guess she’s about reloaded, and it’s time to start boxing Barry’s ample ears, give’em hell Sarah!
Dubya, what is this, a call in game show? Enlighten us please.

PALIN….??? FOX….??? are in question as long as they continue to cover-up the truth about the giant elephant sitting smack dab in everybody's living room every day and night, along with the rest of the MSM. 98% of media and news in the US is sourced back to 5 major corporations, all of which have dominate ownership outside of the USA. Think about this the next time you rave about PALIN or FOX, or any of the slime that work for/with the MSM and that call themselves loyal US citizens. No such thing. Who LIES? THEY LIE. Facts can't be disputed, crystal clear cover-up.
Question???when will the likes of Andrew Breitbart report these truths:
http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/01/10/red-flags-...
I bet . . .Palin's leftist detractors will not be able to miss any of one her appearances. . .it will become their secret guilty pleasure!
Congrats to FOX Newa and Sarah Palin — I look forward to her appearances, what she has to say, and watching Barry and his many minions cringe!
Has the StateControlledMediaComplex approved this?
Has the Minister of Propaganda been informed?
Ve vill not tolerate zee the uhndermining of zee president, ya?
This level of independent thinking and freedom "iz not consistant with zee maximum efficency and propagation and entrenchment of zee Furher's aganda", ya?
Irony was intentional – MSNBC is completely biased toward the left. You watch Palin, I'll watch Maddow. I'll watch Maddow make fun of Palin.
This great news, since according to Joy Behar, I can't read…
I'll watch the first show, absolutely. After that – I think I'll wait for my own pundits to play the clips. I really don't think I'll want to watch more than one.
I'm also sure she'll quit this gig too. She quit as governor. She quit her own vacation for God's sake, couldn't hack media coverage of her bizarre baseball cap stunt. Do you really think she'll stand for putting herself up for this much scrutiny? She's delusional.
Okay, but WE won't have to use eye bleach after we watch.
I admit it…I laughed
I'll bet Tifanei still hasn't gotten it.
In the last two terrific posts about FNC, the leftists here went nuts…Now I hope their fat heads explode in a rage…The hit piece on Sarah last nite on 60 MINUTES, with John McLame's campaign manager, had only one statement by Mr Schmidt that I found credible. He said" the addition of Palin to the ticket added perhaps 2-3 percentage points to an already sinking ship"…or words to that effect….
In other words, if not for her, it may have been a true landslide instead of the 6 points it turned out to be.McLame was the problem not Sarah…This guy Schmidt is really out to lunch and should just be a democrat..I happen to really like Sarah and whatever short commings she may have displayed in the campaign, she is still head and sholders above and democrat in the mix… ..
Palin embodies most things that most normal people regard as either virtues or values.
Intellectual competence, charity, productiveness, self-discipline, family, service, accomplishment, beauty, grace, candor, spirit … and so on.
I do not buy the idea that the sort of energetic animosity displayed by her detractors is the product of mere “disagreement” over points of policy….I think it speaks of a gut level emotional response.
And not one that reflects well on her opponents
Madcow is too masculine to really pull off the Palin thing well, maybe a more "fem" liberal sychophant is available – submit a headshot "heady"!
I heard that in Bill "Bubba" Clinton's world Obama would be, quote "bringing us coffee".
Liberals are done – welcome to the next America – where working families and middle Americans stand up and run things for a while…
Palin makes the Left jealous because while she is extremely attractive, she has a supportive, hard-working husband and well mannered children, who all work together in a tight unit to portray a real-life example of a woman who has it all… And would never have an abortion..Her pro-life stance makes her target for these demented jealous trolls…
Sarah’s strengths scare the left but her weaknesses are worse because they shift focus to the far greater weaknesses of the current office holder.
They don'r have to look far, they have Anderson Cooper already; he's far more feminine than Madcow.
She should have a segment called, "Three O'Clock Call".
My head's not exploding. I always thought she'd end up on Fox. My head would have exploded had McCain won, died, and she'd become my president. And no, she could not win on her own, she can't swing the independents.
I honestly don't see how you guys can think she has any "intellectual competence." Maybe she will after she studies more, but she speaks without a filter and that doesn't work in elected office in the lower 48. It'll serve her well on Fox. Television commentator is her calling, not elected office. We'll see if she can take the heat from the left.
She is following in Reagan's footsteps, but she is America's Maggie Thatcher !
You just played god and devined 'exactly' what she was going to do based on your projections. . .and then you want me to validate your opinion. . .no thanks.
Just stick with all watching all your other buds while they get tingles. . .and praise Mao, Stalin, and Che!
Don't you tinfoilers ever get tired of swallowing all that bilge?
kailuagirl, nothing factually wrong with your post, would only argue that fox is Bilderberg lite…
Your boy, Barry, quite every single elected "job" he ever had, to go for the next step up, when he wasn't even qualified to hold the first one, where all he ever did, besides following "orders", was vote "PRESENT".
You're the on who is completely delusional.
I've probably read more books, before reaching the age of 18, than Joy Behar has read her entire life, all put together and unlike her, the books I've read weren't coloring books.
And I bet that is true for most GOPers/Conservatives.
We're not jealous. We don't care if she's attractive. That entire notion is an insult to women. And, frankly, to Palin, who has deliberately tried to downplay her looks. We just don't like her policy, and/or her political weakness, etc. etc. I'm telling you as TokenLiberal that it's not about looks. Please give us/me more credit for having a brain and being concerned about issues, not whether someone may or may not look hotter than me on television (she probably does).
Her strengths don't scare us. Her weaknesses do…unless she stays on TV and out of politics, in which case I think I can speak for all and say her impact on liberals is minimal at best.
Hey is a "swaucey guy isn't he"…I believe he passes the Bwarney Fwank "smell test".
"…be verwy verwy quiet…we're hunting wabbits…."
The Libtards are complaining that she may be a candidate in 2012, and appearing on FOX might be an advantage. Why aren’t they complaining about Huckleberry? Oh, I know – nobody watches his lame show anyway.
Amen!
You said it! Every time I see him, I think of him shaking like a leaf on that bridge in New Orleans.
AP had 11 'reporters' checking out Palin's book for gaffes. How'd that work out for them?
Well, open the champagne: it is time to celebrate. This lovely lady will grace the tv sets in my house often now, and I could not be more pleased. I think Palin is the most under-rated political figure in the last 100 years. We'll now get to see just how savvy she really is! Yahoo!
Palin on FOX, love it! Sure to be a ratings hit! Oh, and since liberal's heads are largely filled with air — the resulting explosoins should make quite a pop!
Note to Andrew: The animated sidebars on all your Big sites are really annoying. I know you're trying to flog goods, etc… but the content you provide is for readers and thinkers, not Mountain Dew-swilling slackers looking for the next hot video game. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!
I've forgotten. What are her weaknesses again?
Snip ".Sarah Palin Signs With Fox News, Liberals’ Heads Explode"
If only it were really that easy, I would drive around with a loud speaker 24×7 until we were "Progressive Free"
TokenLiberal, I don't question your opinions about SP, you obviously believ what your told…
But clearly you have no clue about the the MSM.
Is Joy Behar your mom?
ktr… i'm with you…. they should give Palin an hour against Behar and watch her tiny audience disappear.
Sarah vs Hillary 2012?
This is good. I think it will be better if they are smart and don't put her in the position of interviewing celebrities to fill up time. Huckabee, she is not. I want to see Palin's take on the state of the country, and nothing more.
This is also good because for the longest time liberals have been explaining to us, long after the fact, of how her appearances on t.v. are "trainwrecks" or that she is "rambling and incoherent." They are only able to make those claims because her tv appearances are so few and far between that it gets easy to misrepresent them because people have foggy memories.
This puts an end to all that. Limbaugh has a huge audience as well, and is also misrepresented by the left, however he is on the radio and you have to listen to him during a time of the day that many people are occupied by other things… so if you're a liberal and didn't tune into Limbaugh, you didn't know what he said, you can keep saying "all he talks about is how much he hates minorities" and not many will be able to defend him because they didn't see his show, either.
Palin will appear in Prime Time, and the nature of t.v. is that not only will she be on at a time of day that many people can watch her, but her appearances will most likely appear on YouTube, to the point that liberals will not be able to NOT watch her. Their own curiosity will force them to eventually accept that republicans=stupid, ignorant, incoherent is nothing more than the emotional outbursts of a child. Sure they may still SAY that stuff, but this increased exposure of Palin will make them deep down not believe their own lies.
ON THE GRAND FOX STAGE……..NEW STAR SARAH PALIN…….STEPS INTO THE DAZZELING SPOTLIGHT……
THE MUSIC SOFTENS………SARAH LOWERS HER EYES TO THE CAMERA………FLASHES AN INTIMATE SMILE
AND SAYS…….SUFFER!!!!!
I love it! She made a smart move and so did Fox! This is capitalism at work and the MSM should take a few notes. Oh yeah I forgot, they think capitalism is evil. Oh well then…SEE YA!
I was actually depressed when my own mother turned on "The View" while I was visiting her over the holidays. I couldn't believe she was one of "them". If I had to watch Joy Behar's show, my head would definitely explode…
It amazes me how the left and the liberals go on about Sarah, if she is not a threat and so dumb, then what do they care if she goes to fox or not, after all they don't really believe fox is news right! so why do they care!
Just watch, this will be the topic for a month, instead of whats going on in our government they will devote all the news to Sarah.
I'm glad, I think she needs to get out there more, after all only intelligent people really watch Fox,hopefully she will take one of Shepherd Smiths time slots, two hours of him is just to much.
I will admit though it is fun to watch the liberals go crazy and show their true colors.
Now I wish I had a TV.
The popularity of Palin and Fox News only goes to prove how irrelevant they both are.
/lib
Everything except moxie?
She knows so little about foreign policy it's almost unthinkable. She still insists there are death panels in that healthcare bill though there never was anything of the sort. The legalese wasn't that difficult to understand. She cannot handle public pressure without imploding, she's divisive, and she's constantly hostile. She doesn't understand that you need to work WITH Washington if you want to be IN Washington. And I won't even bother to rant here about religion.
She just wasn't qualified. Look, McCain wanted Lieberman and she was a last minute substitution. I'm convinced he regrets the choice. She'll be good on Fox.
I agree about her own show, but can she play the guitar like the Huckster?
Well, as you see I'm a liberal, so obviously I'd disagree with her on most policies. So yeah, why bother listing? I don't see the point of me debating liberal vs. conservative policy here, that's just a go nowhere debate, we'd never convince each other
Read my response above though. I'm not anticapitalist at all, though, I'll say. Socially, I couldn't be more liberal.
I think Sarah’s college degree is in Journalism. This could be very interesting. Go Sarah!!
I love the smell of lefty splattered gray matter in the morning!
I'm with ya, I might even get cable again myself.
Insult me all you want but that turns you into an example of what the left mocks
(I can take it; if not, I wouldn't post here)
I absolutely understand that, except I disagree and insist and intellectual is needed in the white house. That doesn't mean they can't be a straight shooter. There was a time when I would have voted for McCain. With the choice of Palin as a running mate, McCain to me became a different man. She wasn't yet qualified, and it was just a political move. He wanted Lieberman. Should have stuck to those mavericky guns and chosen him. I wouldn't have voted for him this time around myself, but I do think he would have swung quite a few people that way.
HiPlainsDrifter, you can spout talking points you've heard on radio/tv, or you can think for yourself. This "jealous" thing though…yeah, probably not a thinker.
This is going to be great watching(ifI can stand it)Olbermann and Madow do their schtick. This is hilariously funny. It must really suck to be a Liberal
1) Joy Behar is not my mom, I promise. I've never watched her show, either (but I probably would like it)
2) Not only do I understand the MSM I was part of it. I can look at it critically, that includes the left-leaning MSM. Can you say the same for Fox?
3) I believe what I see – that means, what I've seen out of Palin's mouth, what I've read on her Facebook.
4) I'd be much wealthier if Joy Behar were my mom.
IMO Sarah Palin is imitating Ronald Reagan, not Oprah Winfrey, with her Fox News program. Reagan used his 1954-62 radio show for General Electric as a vehicle to sharpen his writing and oral presentation as well as for media exposure. The notes he wrote for his GE show depict a natural politician honing his skills to a receptive audience.
Palin's show for Fox could easily do the same for her, as well as being very profitable for both her and Fox. Plus the Democrats will go nuts responding to her, and alienate lots more people doing so. This is a win-win.
Right, lip-"sinking" libs trying to lip-sync a true voice of America. We know who is siking. Just wish it could happen sooner.
I am tired of him too. I like everyone else except Cavuto.
This is no surprise. A real news organization wouldn't touch her. Backwoods Barbie will feel right at home with the other incompetent people at faux. Glenn Beck can show her how to be a tax cheat, all the while claiming other people are tax cheats.
Right, and Steve Schmidt was McLame's campaign manager, otherwise known as the Captain of that "already sinking ship." And what does that tell us about how credible his opinions are, and just how seriously we should regard his "thought" processes? She was terrible, awful, and unprepared, and she gained us three points! Clearly, a Thinker, this guy!
Do you think Obama is qualified to be president? Just asking.
Huzzah, more face time for Sarah, and her new endeavor that will help ensure she gets the 2012 Republican nomination. I couldn’t be happier, because really why nominate one of the “smartest guys in the room”, that’s overrated isn’t it? Who needs a seasoned business leader like Mitt Romney or a policy wunderkind like Bobby Jindal. I say forget the days when Republicans were the boring guys in the gray pinstripe suits that people turned to for competent leadership. Let let anger and the cult of personality trump intelligence and experience. After-all it has an excellent track record throughout the course of history. So Three cheers for Sarah, and the inevitable victory that will come in 2012 when my party wrests the presidency from an inexperienced demagogue with a different inexperienced demagogue, yeah that’ll work.
Totally excited about this news! What a wise move. And just think, all those empty headed libs that are gonna watch so they can see her fail, might actually absorb something meaningful. Ya thin? Or its that a lost cause………………
And a "real news organization" is….?
It's so awesome that the left will go to any lengths to put a woman like Palin down. All the while they're unaware that we're on to them. The game is over.
See ya in November ,"loosers"
[...] [...]
Breitbart already has reported on the Saudi Prince ownership. But then I'll bet you don't read much Breitbart do you?
Do you realize that your comment makes absolutely no sense at all?
Please tell me you plan on NO offspring….
I'll let ya know when I make the decision, how's that…if it helps, I'd probably adopt? Probably would live in a blue state though, or at least blue area
Once again Sarah Palin has shown herself to be far more intelligent than she appears. This is the best news I've seen in a month. Definitely a win-win for Fox and Palin.
Ooogahh! Maddow=ugly.
Hey Tif-an-nay. Black name, right? Scared of Sarah, right?
This is the best news since ted the drowner died.
He and Bwany Fwank are 2 of a kind. ;^)
That they did and they couldn't find a thing, so they made up stuff.
And this should add to that little fact, as well…
This will be fun alright ! The dems threw everything the had at her, even tried to bankrupt her with law suits. She got up dusted herself off, figured out a way to pay her bills and will now have the last laugh.
GO SARAH
I turn off the set, when Shep comes on, or change the channel. As I said earlier……………he's unwatchable.
He lied his head off and became hysterical, when he was covering Katrina. That whole performance of his was disgusting beyond words!
