We can put a face behind the Occupy movement — and it appears to be a wanna-be one percenter. Peter Thottam is the creator of Occupy Los Angeles and is also the progressive force behind Occupy the Rose Parade.
Thottam’s been planning this occupation disruption of the Rose Parade for the last six months — at least that’s how long he’s had the “Occupy the Rose Parade” Twitter feed going.
Ironically, Peter Thottam is a Goldman Sachs alum, an ivy-leaguer, and former corporate lawyer from an international mega law firm, and recent MBA grad. Yale, Boalt Hall Berkeley law and UCLA MBA. Does this sound like a community organizer or a one percenter? While Peter Thottam’s CV reeks of Wall Street elitism, his bio depicts someone grabbing for the corporate brass ring, but strangely unwilling or unable to keep a job at such elite corporate employers as Goldman Sachs or O’Melveny and Myers.
To hear the LA Times summarize Thottam’s political apoplexy, you’d think the guy was a true blue Tea Party Activist, blaming Obama for the last three years of economic misery and destruction:
“The America that’s existed during the bulk of Rose Parades has really been torn apart over the last three years by the unemployment problem, wealth polarization and the middle class shrinking,” Thottam told the Pasadena Sun. (emphasis added)
But what the LA Times and others in the Make-Believe Media apparently missed, or overlooked, are the public records: From the California Bar Journal Discipline Summaries we learn that back in 2004, while a lawyer, Peter Thottam pled guilty to the crime of petty theft. Then, in violation of ethics rules, he failed to report his criminal conviction to the state bar. Once discovered, Thottam suffered the disgrace of having his law license suspended by the California State Bar in 2008.
Thottam is a self-described “progressive attorney, and community activist and organizer” and a failed Democrat political candidate in 2010 for state assembly in California’s 53rd district. Now returned as a lawyer “seeking employment” whose “salary is negotiable,“ my guess is Thottam hopes to capitalize on the Occupy fad to deftly segue himself into politics.
Hey, it worked for Obama.

OK! Let's admit the truth. This whole Occupy thing is run by the Republicans and the Kochs to make fun of the Democratics and our dear President. There can be no other logical explanation.

Because Alinsky was sensitive to criticism that he wasn't ethical, he also included a set of rules for the ethics of power tactics. You can see from these why his ethics were so frequently questioned.
Rules to test whether power tactics are ethical:
1. One's concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one's personal interest in the issue.
2. The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.
3. In war the end justifies almost any means.
4. Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.
5. Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.
6. The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.
7. Generally, success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.

8. The morality of means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.
9. Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition to be unethical.
10. You do what you can with what you have and clothe it in moral garments.
11. Goals must be phrased in general terms like "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity," "Of the Common Welfare," "Pursuit of Happiness," or "Bread and Peace."
These are just the highlights. There's obviously a lot more to it. Alinsky's book is still available in most college bookstores and on Amazon and is worth reading.

I just did a quick search. Michele has let her license lapse (although it's a court-ordered voluntary surrender–but there was no disciplinary action against her), Obama has "voluntarily retired" which I take to mean he will not practice again ever. Apparently there is no disciplinary action against him either.
They seem to have a free pass to do whatever they like anyway from the MSMedia and the rest of the Democratic Party. Let's just hope the rest of the U.S. would like to keep our free-market Democratic Republic, and vote for Anyone-But-Obama 2012!!!

I did some digging about a year ago and discovered that Michelle Obama's "court ordered inactive status" stemmed from extortion, involving some shady real estate dealings she made while she was the assistant to Mayor Daley of Chicago, one of the most crooked mayors ever. That alone would have prevented any other candidate from becoming the Republican nominee. These Obamas have crime written all over them. They are both crooks, and the people have given them a pass because they have not screamed bloody hell at the media to get to the bottom of all this nonsense. I couldn't stand Obama from the beginning, and I didn't know about any of this until I happened upon it by accident. That's how corrupt the media has become–not just the leftie media, but Fox News, too. They're all in on it. I, too, believe that Valerie Jarrett is another criminal in this crooked White House, who should be behind bars. The woman sounds like an uneducated moron to me. I remember the inane comment she made last year when she said that Obama is "cursed" with genius. Still laughing over that bullsh*t comment, considering the guy's not very smart. I've read that it wouldn't take an investigator much time to prove some shady dealings with the Obama house in Illinois. hard to remember specifics, but I beleive the Boston Globe and the NY Post both ran stories about him sometime in early 2000s about how he was diverting money meant to be invested into a scam similiar to what Bernie Madoff was running. GS left him off easy , and the local DA apparently didnt follow up with taking him to trial. I do believe he was disbarred, which seems likely why he hasnt been back at GS. Seems like he was a shady lawyer using insider information to set himself up with investors $.
