After the Trig scandal made all their advertisers jump ship (except Blogads which has to advertise because they own a stake) Wonkette shows the trick they learned at prog camp: the ability to defecate into a blog template, hit publish, and call it content. To wit:

Kudos to Ken Layne! Is it just me, or does he have a Haley Joel Osment thing going on?

I hear racist things.”

Wonkette’s correction:

UPDATE: Michele Bachmann actually said shehates white people” because they’re “subhuman.” YouTube regrets the error.

[...]

The Wonkette editorial board just had a meeting and your editor Kirsten Boyd Johnson said, “She’s obviously referring ot the dumb band that played before her but forgot to mention the rest of the band’s name, because she’s an idiot.”

How many Wonkette editors does it take to change a light bulb? THAT’S RACIST!

Oh my.

Watching Al Sharpton perform off-the-cuff analysis is like watching a completely inebriated individual attempt to stand up, over and over again, and failing.

“Well if he never said ‘goalposts,’ how did he move the goalposts?”

“But after it goes before the Senate and the House the Balanced Budget Amendment I mean, uh, it is incredibly uh, uh, far right and incredibly uh real, real, real, political miscalculation.”

The hell? That is verbatim.

When the Dallas Tea Party criticized MSNBC for the complete lack of diversity in their lineup, I thought MSNBC would remedy their lack of diversity by finding someone who actually has the skills (Juan Williams, Roland Martin, Larry Elder off the top of my head) to host a television program, not grab someone who many (even on the left) argue got the job in a suspicious way.

This has to be the media’s version of a comedy bit.

Across the board from the activist old media we find the universal common thread, they ask: “Are we seeing a pause in the recovery?”

When was the recovery? Are you talking about the recovery of the Lakers in the second half of the NBA Finals?  The recovery of British Petroleum from the worst disaster in the history of the world forever and ever?  The recovery of Jet Blue from a wacky flight attendant?

Oh, they’re talking about the financial recovery. When did that happen?

The same media that was begging to preach financial disaster for the final 18 months of the Bush administration (don’t doubt me, I was told to read those scripts and caught trouble for correcting them at the time) is now working overtime to call for a recovery where there is none.

Tell the nearly 10% of Americans who are unemployed that there was a recovery that has now supposedly just “paused.” Of course, that number is greater than ten percent in reality because so many have just stopped looking for work because they know there are no jobs during this “pause in the recovery.” (more…)

They claimed to have “thrown the rightwing bloggosphere [sic] into a tizzy” with their dog-and-pony show announcement of “infiltrating the tea parties” on April 15th. Problem: pretending that you’re Harriet the Spy and infiltrating tea parties only works if you’re covert about it, otherwise, you’re just showing up.

They state:

WHO WE ARE, Crash The Tea Party style, is a lesson in Marxism 101: “A nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons; who constitute the fake grass-roots movement which calls itself “The Tea Party.”

Fake grassroots? Racists? A lesson in Marxism 101? It’s elementary enough that I’m further intrigued.

Their Twitter stream is rife with the sharp, lip-smacking sounds of liberal plebeians sucking up to government media elites:
