On MSNBC, John Kerry told us that Tea Party ideas are not “real” ideas, not “factual,” and thinks that the media should stop reporting on anything that smacks of ideas or news coming from Tea Partiers. If this isn’t proof of how Democrats and leftists would use the power of government to quash free political speech, what is?

Not long ago, several Democrats tried to once again raise the ugly head of the defunct Fairness Doctrine that was killed during the Reagan administration in order to limit the free political speech of conservatives. In those dark days when Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House of Representatives, several Republicans talked about forever outlawing the anti-free speech rule. Democrats at the time spoke up in favor of the Fairness Doctrine and countered that they wanted to bring it back.

Fortunately, the Fairness Doctrine has not come back. But this un-American policy idea has been talked about by leftists every few years since it was torpedoed by Reagan in 1987. They would love to bring it back. And despite what they claim, the left would use a new Fairness Doctrine to squelch the free political speech of those on the right.

Want proof? Then let’s look at what Democrat Senator John Kerry said on MSNBC this week.

SEN. JOHN KERRY: And I have to tell you, I say this to you politely. The media in America has a bigger responsibility than it’s exercising today. The media has got to begin to not give equal time or equal balance to an absolutely absurd notion just because somebody asserts it or simply because somebody says something which everybody knows is not factual.

It doesn’t deserve the same credit as a legitimate idea about what you do. And the problem is everything is put into this tit-for-tat equal battle and America is losing any sense of what’s real, of who’s accountable, of who is not accountable, of who’s real, who isn’t, who’s serious, who isn’t?

Color of Change, the group founded by admitted Marxist and 9/11 truther Van Jones, is chest-thumping all over Twitter essentially saying that they, not Dylan Ratigan, run “The Dylan Ratigan Show.” Writing on Daily Kos, Color of Change’s James Rucker says [emphasis Kos]:

As you may know, ColorOfChange members led the charge to ensure that Breitbart’s credibility and image weren’t sanitized by ABC News or the Huffington Post.  After we saw Breitbart on Ratigan’s show, with Ratigan seemingly praising Breitbart as “smart” and a “sharp shooter who gets results,” we were deeply concerned.

When I spoke with Ratigan, he explained what he was trying to do.  He quickly agreed that Breitbart was a race-baiter, dishonest, and undeserving of credibility — without question. And he frankly hadn’t thought about the legitimizing effect that having Breitbart on his show — without clearly labeling him as the race-baiter and deceiver he is — would have.

Moving forward, Ratigan said that if he deals with Breitbart at all in the future, it will be with the explicit disclaimer that Breibart is someone who deceives and race-baits. Ratigan recognizes and respects the argument that there’s a problem with giving Breitbart a mainstream platform, and he’s committed to making sure that his show is not used to lend Breitbart the appearance of legitimacy and credibility.

When I reached out to leadership at MSNBC, they were also receptive to our concerns — here’s what Jeremy Gaines, a spokesperson for MSNBC submitted to me when going on the record:

James, I understand and appreciate your concerns.  Our goal is to ensure that our network has a high standard of integrity and that guests whose integrity or credibility may be in question are presented as such.  You might notice that the next time Breitbart appeared on our network, the following day, Martin Bashir held Breitbart’s feet to the fire and engaged in a line of questioning that brought to light the specific issues of Breitbart’s integrity and credibility which I understand to be your concern.

Here you see the President depicted in half man, half animal form with ears that don’t exist in the Homo sapiens species.

Far worse, the JibJab brothers’ idea of a clever political joke was to present this racist obscenity in front of the President at the 2009 White House Correspondents Dinner.

The JibJab brothers won’t listen to me, but they might listen to you.  Please. Tell them how disappointed you are.  Please.  Tell them to stop.  Be sure to use the creepiest voice you can imagine, and keep repeating yourself for at least 6 full minutes.

Other parts of this juvenile video attribute other racist stereotypes about Barack Obama: that he is prone to violence, is an arsonist, and is really bad with money.

So why didn’t Lawrence O’Donnell go off forever on this cartoon?

Answer after the jump (original racist video too).

The First Lady looks overweight in this cartoon, and even though the two other adults in the cartoon do as well, it must be – according to MSNBC standards – racist.

So why didn’t Lawrence O’Donnell go off forever on this cartoon?

Answer after the jump.

Progressives have taken issue with a cartoon published recently on this website mocking the government overreach of the First Lady’s food regulations. The cartoon ran specifically post-Super Bowl to emphasize the double standard of what Michelle Obama says regarding American diets, and the food choices offered at the White House’s Super Bowl party.

Lawrence O’Donnell stopped his beta male “Say Anything” pining over Bill O’Reilly long enough to bore us all to tears with a discombobulated diatribe about why the Hudnall/Lash cartoon was racist but apparently screaming for the lynching of Justice Thomas was not. Oh! My bad! O’Donnell said nothing of the prog-Thomas-lynching or the Cain-monkey-slur.

Grasping at straws and eager to cover up their recent calls to lynch a black Supreme Court Justice and their refusal to condemn a recent Alternet article wherein Herman Cain was called, among other slurs, a “monkey,” progs have chosen to call the James Hudnall/Batton Lash cartoon “racist” and refuse to condemn the aforementioned.

I won’t even call this latest stunt by the left a “double standard” because for it to be a double standard, there must be something comparable on the right which there simply is not. On one hand you have a cartoon mocking the hypocrisy of the First Lady’s remarks while eating food listed on the White House menu of Super Bowl choices; on the other you have a progressive mob – not one, not two, but many – calling for the lynching of Justice Clarence Thomas and slurring Herman Cain in a progressive, Tides-funded web publication. Apparently the hypocrisy of the First Lady is off limits because she’s … a woman, thus sexist? Black, thus racist? Exempting her for either is inherently sexist and racist.

Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.

So said Benito Mussolini, the leader of the closest governmental form of fascism in human history.

The media narrative relating the tea party movement to fascistic pining, based in the divisive rhetoric of the political left, emphasizes the institutional malpractice committed by establishment media on a daily basis.  It is as if J-School requires one to ignore history and the most basic of researching skills.  Nowhere can the enfeeblement of a culture through the corruption of entitlement be better seen than within our modern establishment media.  Why bother to understand the subject (or better yet,  examine objectively) when the paychecks will come anyway?

Case in point, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Chris Hedges, who laments the collapse of political discourse within our nation, while contributing to the very thing he laments.  Truthfully, the article is nothing more than a communist diatribe against Wall Street and globalization (which is rather amusing considering the global goals of the communist left).  But what really bears mention regarding this article is the intellectual dishonesty apparent immediately through the use of false imagery:

This image drives Hedges’ narrative of the “mass of increasingly bitter people whose alienation, desperation and rage fuel emotionally driven and incoherent political agendas,” otherwise known as the tea party movement.

How do I know this image has nothing to do with the tea party movement?  I witnessed this “plant” first-hand, and Sharp Elbows (famous for slaying the beast, Phil Hare) of the St. Louis Tea Party Coalition shot the video in which we ran this infiltrator out of our rally.

We use the power of persuasion first. If it doesn’t work, we try the persuasion of power.                 – Andy Stern, SEIU

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4

There are only two kinds of government. Limited Government (LG) which limits the powers of the people at the top, which limits their ability to corrupt the system, and Big Government (BG) which is designed so a small elite group at the top reap all the benefits of a society and there is no limit on what they can do with their power.

All the names for forms of government like socialism, communism, fascism, etc. are merely definitions of style. BG systems all eventually drift toward some form of tyranny until they collapse from their own corruption or revolution. The most successful and stable form of government in modern times is the LG federalist model of the United States. But that has been corrupted, and now is changing into a BG system where it is doomed to fail unless events change it back.

I’ve tried to cover the history as much as I could in the limited space I had, but today I want to explore what it all means. First I highly recommend two documentaries that will help put a lot of things in perspective if you haven’t seen them. They were both made by Adam Curtis, a British film maker. The first is The Century of Self which talks about how elites have used psychology to help manufacture consent. The other is The Trap which talks about how liberal thinking helped create the nightmare bureaucratic world we live in today. Curtis has a leftward tilt, but he’s even-handed. The information he relates is well worth your time. (more…)

“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”
Alexis de Tocqueville

In part one we discussed how there are only two forms of government. In part two we discussed the history of those two forms. Now we’re going to discuss how the BG (Big Government, aka statist) types have infected our political system.

We’ve all heard the sordid history of Communism and hard socialist countries, which are all totalitarian dictatorships. Nations like North Korea and Zimbabwe are economic basket cases which have famines and moribund economies; police states in which human rights are non-existent. Cuba keeps its citizens prisoner and rations food. These are just a few examples of what happens when BG systems are taken to their extremes.

Human beings operate mostly out of self interest. BG systems allow an elite class to have complete control over every aspect of the public’s lives. Those who love power love to abuse it. (more…)

“My dear brothers, never forget, when you hear the progress of enlightenment vaunted, that the devil’s best trick is to persuade you that he doesn’t exist!”

Charles Baudelaire, Le Joueur généreux, February 7, 1864

Forget everything you think you know about politics. It is probably wrong.

There is no left or right. Communist, Socialist, Liberal, Conservative, Progressive, Democrat, Republican, those are all meaningless terms. They are used to confuse people so they miss the point. The most important point about politics there is. There are only two schools of political thought and they have predictable results. All the names and labels for them are just smoke and mirrors.

the_thinker_red3

Political ideology is designed by elites to trick the masses into doing what they want. Each side tells you something designed to get your emotions going so they can play you. They get you to agree to give them more power, money and control over your lives by telling you some kind of story.

We need to put that vicious cycle to an end. It’s time to understand what their real goals are. But to free your mind, you need to be educated first. Only by seeing the road ahead can you avoid tripping on stones or falling off cliffs.

There are only two real political choices to make. And it has nothing to do with parties. It has to do with core beliefs. You are for one side or another. These sides are diametrically opposed. The best way I can describe the two choices is, freedom or slavery. That is what it boils down to. And the slave in question is you.

Do you want to be a slave or a free person? It’s your choice. (more…)
