As a Harvard-trained lawyer, are we really to believe that BHO II forgot the most famous line in the Preamble of the Declaration of Independence?

There are only three options that explain why Obama omitted the words “by the  Creator” in his speech to Hispanics over the weekend.

  1. The teleprompter was loaded incorrectly–omitting the words “by the Creator.”
  2. The teleprompter was loaded correctly—and Obama misread it, omitting the words “by the Creator” accidentally.
  3. The teleprompter was loaded correctly—and Obama omitted the words “by the Creator” intentionally.

The first possibility illustrates cowardice by Obama– if “by the Creator” was omitted by a speechwriter (and not ordered so by POTUS) then why aren’t heads rolling?

The second option would illustrate ineptitude on the part of the Harvard-educated “constitutional lawyer.”  If “by the Creator” was in the teleprompter, and Obama “forgot,” then it is a gaffe to remember, such as his “57 states” remark during his campaign.  Where are the Dan Quayle genre jokes by late night television folks mocking his stupidity? Don’t suppose we’ll hear much from the LSM about that one! (more…)

Will 2004 Democrat VP nominee and two-time presidential candidate John Edwards soon be indicted by the feds for campaign-finance violations?  The National Enquirer says Edwards will be indicted — and in the John Edwards Scandal, where the Enquirer leads the Mainstream Media follow.

What a difference a few years make.

John Edwards Indictment

When Edwards was one of the leading Democrat presidential candidates, the Enquirer broke story after story while the MSM refused to ask, refused to report and refused to inform its readers of the events.  This continued for months, while Edwards was considered for both an Obama running mate and attorney general slot.

Even after the Enquirer caught Edwards visiting Hunter and their daughter in a late night rendezvous at the Beverly Hilton in July 2008, there was no coverage in the traditional press for weeks.  After initially labeling the Enquirer’s report as “tabloid trash,“ Edwards finally confessed on ABC’s Nightline on August 8, 2008. Martha Coakley is caught making false statements on financial disclosure form, does not report  $262,000 in assets.

Now this is a story that only Charles Rangel could love.  One of Coakley’s selling points among the plutocratic liberals of the greater Boston area is that she’s honest, since unlike a lot of other politicians, she doesn’t seem to have enriched herself unduly while “serving” at the public trough.  As proof, she’s offered her financial-disclosure statements.

Martha-Coakley

Oops!  From the Boston Globe last November:

Coakley admits to federal filing error

Attorney General Martha Coakley, the state’s top lawyer, acknowledged yesterday that she improperly filled out a federal financial disclosure she submitted to the US Senate as part of her candidacy in the special election.

The Globe reported yesterday that Coakley was the only candidate, in disclosures due to the Senate by this week, to report that neither she nor her spouse had any reportable financial asset worth more than $1,000.
