It’s taken a long time, but Huffington Post/AOL founder Arianna Huffington and Huffington Post/AOL editor Roy Sekoff have finally acknowledged that I am not a racist–despite the popular left wing website’s campaign to frame me as one.

From a letter crafted by Huffington Post editor Roy Sekoff to the Daily Caller:

…I want to make it as clear as possible that neither I nor Arianna believe that Andrew Breitbart is a racist.  If we did believe that, we never would have allowed him to blog on HuffPost — let alone featured him on our front page.

I am grateful for Huffington and Sekoff’s true courage to go against many of their partisan bloggers and ideological editors, many of whom threatened to quit if I wasn’t ousted from its “progressive” waters.

For the last six months the Huffington Post, recently purchased by AOL for $315 million, has been running a vengeful propaganda campaign led by a far left wing anti-free speech organization called “Color of Change,” created by former Obama White House “green czar” Van Jones – whose resignation was sealed, to a great degree, by facts revealed in reporting at one of my websites. Lou Dobbs committed the ultimate sin—he made a stand on principle.

For years Dobbs has fought against illegal immigration. He did it on CNN, he does it on his radio show.

Now, the most leftist magazine out there, The Nation has attacked Dobbs because they say a contractor that he used to run his property might have hired illegals. Dobbs makes is clear that he expects this kind of treatment from the libs at The Nation, but he is a little surprise that the activist old (mainstream) media has joined their chorus. Certainly he can’t be all that surprised.

The charges made by The Nation may be accurate on the surface, but they are without context. With illegal immigration as rampant as it is, to think that anybody who stands on principle against illegal immigration must check two, three or four sources removed to make sure that people hired by somebody hired who somebody hired might be here illegally is absolutely preposterous and the activist old media should say that, but, of course, they do not. Once upon a time former Governor, Presidential candidate, and Chairman of the Democrat National Committee called the GOP the “White Party.”  CNN commentator Lou Dobbs took Dean to task for his language.

So was Dr. Dean, and those among the Left who share his understanding of history, accurate?  Is the GOP the party of white people?  Let’s test the good doctor’s diagnosis.
