(Read Project Mayhem, Part I here)

When he’s not busy encouraging Massachusetts voters to commit voter fraud to “keep these bastards out,” or condemning “tea party rhetoric” for not “rising to the president’s challenge on tone” while calling Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut,” MSNBC’s Ed Schultz indulges his hobby of swooping into states like Wisconsin and Ohio, becoming an overnight expert on legislation he is only familiar with from having skimmed through SEIU-furnished Cliffs Notes, calling the legislation “racist” while cheerleading union rallies with applause-cuing platitudes, waving his arms in solidarity and then peacing out.

Schultz made a recent visit to Columbus, Ohio in which he had Congressman Tim Ryan (whom I had interviewed hours prior about Senate Bill 5’s alleged confiscation of safety equipment) and Senator Sherrod Brown on the show against a backdrop of union firefighters to whom, during commercial breaks, Schultz yelled that SB 5 “makes me believe Jimmy Hoffa even more that they are sons of bitches!” Throughout the broadcast Schultz and his guests parroted the manufactured mantra that the bill takes away safety equipment, perhaps almost enough times to make it true.

Admittedly breaking the SEIU’s first rule of Project Mayhem, I subsequently interviewed Schultz on camera and asked him to respond to the fact that the bill gives bargaining rights on safety equipment — which the Democrats’ earlier bill didn’t, citing the exact section number — to which he offered a Pulitzer Prize-warranting response: “That’s not what the firefighters are telling me.”

Well Ed, that may not be what the firefighters are telling you the bill says, but it is what the bill is telling me the bill says. When I later asked the author of SB 5, State Senator Shannon Jones, to respond to Schultz’s talking points, she clarified the provision in depth, noting to Schultz that “reading is fundamental.”

Watch Vice President Joe Biden give the already debunked meme about a gay soldier being booed at the last GOP debate an utterly shameless second round of media attention:

—–

The lies here are of omission but lies nonetheless. Not a single “View” hen nor the Vice President of the United States bothers to make the facts of this incident clear, certainly not Biden as he all but bites his lower lip Clinton-style over how ghastly it all was.

And yet, here’s what we all know really happened:

Sarah Rumpf: The debate included video questions that were submitted on YouTube, and one came from a soldier serving in Iraq who is gay and asked about the candidates’ opinions on don’t ask don’t tell. There was audible booing after his question…however, please note that it was not the crowd booing. It was only one or two people. …

Dana Loesch: I’ve also received a couple of emails from other debate attendees who back up Rumpf’s claim (done independent from her) that it was a couple of blockheads who decided to show their idiocy — not the audience.

That’s what those print outlets linked above aren’t telling you: the hisses and boos you heard came from the crowd who yelled at the two men.

Furthermore, Joy Behar’s follow up question, her phony and calculated indignation over the lack of condemnation from the candidates, is also a lie. Fox News’ Brett Baier (the debate moderator) is on the record stating there were only two or three people out of 5500 booing and and Sen. Rick Santorum (who was asked the question) has stated he didn’t hear the booing.

How can someone react to something they haven’t heard?

Over the past few days I’ve watched anti-American filmmaker Michael Moore make the rounds on various interview shows so he can push his new book “Here Comes Trouble.” In many of the interviews,  the Oscar-winner discussed the various threats and attacks he claims to have suffered as a result of what he describes as the ”daily” hate ginned up against him by talk radio and Fox News. This was the price the brave Mr. Moore paid after speaking! truth! to! power! in opposition to the Iraq War.

—–

Yesterday, in a Big Hollywood exclusive, reporter Phelim McAleer did the kind of digging the MSM used to and found that three of the most sensational attacks Moore claims to have been a near-victim of cannot be corroborated or verified:

Mr. Moore can clear up this matter very quickly by releasing the link. He could also explain why there are no reports of these violent assaults in the media (that I could find) even though two of them took place at a press conference and a public event. He should also hire new publicist – because their failure to release these records has led to unnecessary and unwelcome publicity.

Mr. Moore could also release medical records, suitably anonymized to protect the ex-Seals identities. He could tell us the date of each alleged assault and exact location – and the names of independent witnesses who were there.

And Mr. Moore could release copies of the relevant police reports and let us know what happened at subsequent court hearings – if there were any.

In the current media age,, we’ve come to expect partisans disguised as objective journalists to fawn unquestionably and show no curiosity when it comes to fellow travellers like Michael Moore. But you would think the possibility that they’ve been lied to over the past few days would override any admiration one might have for another’s politics.

Let’s see … regarding Wisconsin so far, we’ve had Michael Moore calling the GOP/public school teacher saga a “class war,” even though the teachers are highly-educated professionals with retirements, great health care, and other benefits, Jesse Jackson making parallels to the civil rights movementMSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell dealing race cards faster than a drunken college freshman playing a game of strip poker with the chicks down the hall, and a bunch of AWOL Democratic politicians bleating about how unfair life is in Madison. That’s a lot of outrage. If we can just work a Wiccan in there, we’ll be totally covered.

Let's fight the power, then hit Starbucks for a delicious latte!

The last time I saw opportunism this absurd was when Taylor Hicks won “American Idol”.

These people are gently and respectfully slapping themselves in the foot (how’s that for civil rhetoric?). Agree with collective bargaining rights or not, public institutions that do not operate on a profit motive require a tax dollar slush fund where interest groups grab for cash quicker than Navy officers cop a feel at a Tailhook convention.

Naturally, numerous clips of counter protesters being yelled at and insulted by union supporters have surfaced on Youtube. If I were a lefty I could point out the racial demographics involved in some of these clips, but I won’t do that. The union people are emotionally riled up; no need to poke them with a stick while their glutes are clenched tighter than hydraulic presses. If they were smart, they would put some pieces of coal in there and produce some diamonds, at least enough to fund the manufacture of more “Walker = Hitler” signs.

I’ll be damned if I’m going to engage in the same race card playing lunacy that is literally driving people away from the Democratic Party. I’d be pissed too if my awesome benefits were being reduced by a small fraction. Wait a second, no, I wouldn’t, because I’d think I was coming across like a self-interested jackass. Give me a few beers and some steak to gorge on during the weekend, and I’m happy. I can always snack on the plentiful amounts of candy, pizza, and other goodies that permeate my workplace (a publicly-funded junior college) or perhaps hit the local supermarket to nibble on some samples. Suffering in America has never been so calorically gratifying.

I can’t stand listening to the guy blabber for more than a minute, but I listened for the hilarity of his firearms stereotyping.

“That imaginary person thats gonna break into your home and kill you, who does that person look like? … We never want to talk about the racial or class part of this in terms of how it’s the poor or people of color that we imagine we’re afraid of.”

Good grief.

I honestly believe that in some cases liberals project their own closeted feelings on race since they spend so much time trying to convince conservatives that they (the conservatives) should find black people scary.

Last week, Neil Cavuto gave a devastating rant against Chris Matthews for his attack on Gov. Chris Christie’s weight. Within days, Matthews’ colleague Kieth Olbermann showed a video of Cavuto appearing to criticize the Surgeon General for being too fat.

Left-wing blogs grabbed hold of the Olbermann hypocrisy charge and plastered it everywhere. Even the usually-right-on-target Frances Martel at Mediaite took the bait:

The victim of said “racism” was a presidential nominee for surgeon general Regina Benjamin, who Cavuto then described as “not a lot fat, but fat enough fat for my next guest to say ‘fat chance,’” in an old segment Olbermann dug up. For this Cavuto won his runner-up spot on Olbermann’s “Worsts” segment today, where he railed against Cavuto’s “hypocrisy.”

Of course, the problem with Olbermann’s hysteria is that he is completely, 100% wrong. Cavuto’s comments that were grabbed to make Olby’s point were a lead-in to an interview. During the interview, it is clear that Cavuto is defending the Surgeon General and attacking his guest for calling her obese.

Here is the FULL segment Olbermann is referring to. As anyone can see, Mr. Cavuto spends the entire interview DEFENDING the Surgeon General and criticizing his guest’s attacks on her weight:

So far, there is no comment from Olbermann. Presumably he is still busy defending his smarmy and sycophantic interview with Michael Moore who seemed all to willing to excuse rape charges as “hooey” just so he can bond with Julian Assange. After all, the three seem to have a common enemy: the truth. (more…)

P.J. Salvatore

It started on his show with guest Michael Moore, who put up $20k in bond for Assange.

Later on Olbermann, on Twitter, reTweeted something from Bianca Jagger which included the accusers’ names (which have been all over the Internet, along with photos, for some time) and the frenzy began.

He even changed out his regular Keef photo to the default Twitter egg.

One website even created a Twitter campaign to shame Michael Moore into apologizing for donating $20,000 to bail out Assange.

I don’t recall ever seeing Olbermann hightail it out of a brawl so fast.

Filmmaker Michael Moore, famed for his propagandistic left-slanted portrayals of America in such films as Roger and Me, Bowling for Columbine, and Sicko, is under fire for lifting the work of a writer from the Knoxville News Sentinel and reposting it on his own site in total despite that copyright laws disallow such a practice.

michael moore lectures

On his site Random Mumblings, the News Director of Innovation for the Knoxville News Sentinel, Jack Lail, reported that Michael Moore lifted an entire story and its accompanying video production from his newspaper’s website and re-posted it all on MichaelMoore.com. Not only did he lift the whole story (not just excerpts, but the whole thing) and take the video to repost it on his own site, Michael Moore did not add any new content and even re-processed the News Sentinel’s video to remove their logo from the screen.

The article’s original author, the Knoxville News Sentinel’s Frank Munger, alerted Lail to the thievery prompting Lail to contact Moore demanding it all be removed. For several days Lail’s demand was ignored as Moore has been known to thumb his nose at copyright laws and intellectual property rights. Finally, though, by July 12, the Moore website removed the offending pages. (For a screen shot of Moore’s website, see the post at Random Mumblings.) (more…)

Who should replace Larry King? Wow, the question of the decade right there!

The excitement is mounting in CNN Land these days as we ponder who should replace the legendary broadcaster who many say actually left his show years ago.

My first thoughts are either Joy Behar (she could just move across the hall from Headline News) or Michael Moore. It seems like they are on the show almost as often as Larry himself, so it would make the transition for the sensitive viewers much easier. They may not even know there has been a change.

Ahhhh, but before we put Larry to pasture I think of the great moments in Larry King history.

The night he called Andre Agassi “Pancho Gonzales.” Andre was sitting right there next to Larry and Pancho had actually been dead for more than ten years at the time. I was watching the interview live, the look on Andre’s face was priceless. (more…)

Thought experiment here, does anyone think this is offensive?

If that offended you please cease reading now and write me hate mail before you go to class at Bob Jones University, or file child-abuse charges against Jesus.  Humor is a way to cope with the problems of the world.  Only fundamentalists who take themselves way too seriously cannot understand this simple human concept. Fact is, most Christians are not offended this easily, nor would we threaten with death this guy:

Wasilla, Alaska (UIP)— Shocking news last night as former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin announced that she is following in the footsteps of the noble senator from Pennsylvania, Arlen Specter, and is switching parties to become a Democrat.

sarah-palin-newsweek-cover

This news comes just five days after Palin appeared as the keynote speaker at a Tea Party rally in Searchlight, Nev., where she appeared in her former guise as an angry white female and told the crowd of at least a dozen or so people that she was tired of government intrusion into her life and that she was going to do everything she could to “send Harry Reid back to Searchlight where he would be lucky to be elected as part-time street sweeper.”

Sometime since then, Palin said, she had an epiphany and realized “the weather of Nevada must’ve unfrozen my cold, steely Alaskan heart,” and that she had awakened from her icy slumber of neocon-ism.  “What the hell was I thinking?” She also resigned as a Fox News contributor, effective immediately.

Reaction was swift from the Democrats across the nation. (more…)
