- Bill Maher tells Occupy Wall Street to “get a job,” and says:

“As I watch them on the news now I find myself almost agreeing with Newt Gingrich. Like, you know what – get a job…Now it’s just a bunch of douchebags who think throwing a chair through the Starbucks window is going to bring on the revolution.”

- Apparently, Hot Topic is all out of Che shirts, so a bored Daily Kos decides to spend its time bullying … a food pantry:

I just got off of the phone with someone at Paul’s Pantry (the third person I was connected to). We spoke for awhile, but ultimately it came down to a few things (1) he said that they have the right to refuse to send their truck anywhere; (2) he refuses to send their truck to an organization that “kills babies” and isn’t supported by 90% of Paul’s Pantry’s donors; and (3) the office is more than willing to accept the donations if they are brought directly there. He seemed most uncomfortable with their truck being seen near Planned Parenthood’s office because of the optics and feels that PP is trying to pick a fight since this has been their position for over 12 years. I told him to expect more calls. :) ..”

Let’s shower this POS with our calls. I have left a message. So should all of you. Maybe this is a distraction, but much is at stake-a woman’s right to choose. [my emphasis]

A group of progressives who don’t donate to this charity found out that a food pantry would rather keep itself free of Planned Parenthood’s politics, so they decide to bully the private entity. Hysterical progressives don’t care that the charity may risk losing donations if their van is spotted at a Planned Parenthood. They don’t offer to make up for the funds, either, and they fail to encourage readers to donate. What is their big contribution to society? Tantrums? They haven’t done an ounce to serve others as Paul’s Pantry yet these narcissistic space savers have the audacity to politicize everything from breast cancer to food for the needy. Keep it up, Daily Kos.

- Occupiers reportedly threw bricks at cops and urine ad media over the weekend. Protesters in NYC upped the ante:

In New York City, Occupy protesters allegedly urinated on a cross inside a Brooklyn church.

“An occupier peed inside the building and the pee came into contact with a cross,” wrote Rabbi Chaim Gruber in a note to the New York Post.

The Occupy Wall Street movement has a history of participants urinating and defecating in public.

The group has also been accused of desecrating West Park Presbyterian Church. The pastor ordered 60 protesters to leave the sanctuary after someone stole a bronze lid from the $12,500 baptismal font.

“It was like pissing on the 99 percent,” an angry Rev. Bob Brashear told the New York Post.

Media Matters continues to deflect from accusations of antisemitism and extreme bias by trumping up nontroversies on other conservatives. In addition to watching Fox, scouring Andrew Breitbart’s Twitter feed, and recording Erick Erickson and Dana Loesch’s shows, Media Matters for America is also facing questions as to how their organization can actively politick, which is against their own mission statement. Their latest lie? “Dana Loesch compared Al Gore to Leni Riefenstahl.”

Former Maryland Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend is teaming up with Media Matters for America founder David Brock to form a new group to raise big bucks for Democrats in an effort to compete with Republicans.

Kennedy Townsend is remembered by conservatives for her role in pursuing Linda Tripp, the whistleblower in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. She has long since joined forces with Media Matters, the book-burners of our day, who seek to drive all shred of conservative political opinion out of public discourse.

Of course, Brock and Kennedy Townsend know how marginal their views are: they fully expect 2012 to be a “disaster” without more big money on the Democrat side:

Former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, who is positioning herself to be a major player in the Democratic Party’s 2012 fundraising efforts, pledged that a new group she is forming will help Democrats “compete dollar to dollar” with Republicans over the next two years. Townsend has teamed up with David Brock, founder of the liberal media watchdog Web site, Media Matters, to form American Bridge, a group that aims to be a counterweight to right-leaning organizations such as American Crossroads and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which spent millions to support conservative candidates and causes in 2010.

Brock is known for his willingness to go to any lengths to pursue Fox News, while Media Matters has also been trying to become a partisan force by having its often dubious content picked up by outside media outlets. MMfA’s war on Fox has caused some to question the outlet’s tax-exempt status, according to the Washington Examiner: (more…)

Big Government reported earlier this morning on a Media Matters for America email on the Keystone Pipeline that exposes the true, partisan lobbying agenda behind everything the tax-exempt group does.

The email was sent, apparently in error, to key staff from the office of Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) in an attempt to provide talking points to “allies” (read: left-wing Democrats) in pushing back on the Keystone XL pipeline, which is supported by Republicans, some Democrats and the majority of Americans.

The key line in the email:

We are hoping for a big media splash, but – more importantly – we’re hoping that allies will be able to leverage it to gain favorable coverage.

- Peaceful Taliban member kills reporter:

“The Taliban are not happy with our reporting,” said Hamidullah, the Voice of America coordinator for northwestern Pakistan, who uses only one name. “They consider it propaganda against them, and they are constantly giving threats against our stringers.” Asked about the military, he answered, “The pressure is always there.”

No word from MMfA on the “desecration” of the reporter’s body through death.

- The reason why MMfA manufactured fake antisemitic cartoon rage:

The Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank closely aligned with the White House, is embroiled in a dispute with several major Jewish organizations over statements on Israel and charges that some center staffers have used anti-Semitic language to attack pro-Israel Americans.

Also, Everything Loesch Tweets becomes their headline news. I love the Internet. I also love that Big Journalism ceremoniously spanked their entire network in one post.

- Politico:

CNN touts itself as the one network without a dog in any ideological fight. But in the current media climate, where commentary is king, the center is a hard place to win ratings. Despite growth in 2011, CNN remains in third placebehind the other two networks for primetime, in part because CNN can’t be relied upon to consistently satisfy conservative or liberal appetites. CNN’s response to that challenge has been to go wide rather than long, hiring voices from farther afield on the ideological spectrum rather than building up a team of independent analysts to run a conversation down the middle.

Loesch was clearly highlighting the absurdity of the response to the Marines, which is why, after her remark, she asked, “is that harsh to say?!” as a furious response to those calling for the heads of the four Marines. Of course, this is consistently omitted. CNN has done a lot of shifting to present viewers with diverse thought and their strategy is causing many folks to reconsider the network when they once flipped past it. To be honest, I didn’t start watching the network until Erick Erickson announced that he was joining and I began tuning in regularly when the network announced the hiring of Loesch and Will Cain. Further honesty: I wanted to see how the network went to town on them, whether or not they were brought in just to serve as scratching posts and token conservatives, but I was surprised, pleasantly so. Such was the diverse thought that I watched each of the CNN debates (only one of Fox’s, which was last night’s) and during the caucuses and recent primary, kept it on CNN. Granted, my mind isn’t completely made up on CNN but I feel that they’ve been making some genuine moves to increase the scope of their audience. I hope conservatives support that and I also hope that conservatives recognize that the network has consistently stood by Erickson and Loesch throughout the regular tantrums from MSNBC sympathizers like Media Matters and Mediaite.

Media Matters feebly attempted to save face from the Girl Scout brochure controversy after the group dumped the propaganda website.

The Girl Scouts say they will no longer recommend the liberal website Media Matters as a good source for fact-checking suspected media bias.

The site published a very long, rambling post complaining about the negative attention it received yet gave no argument for why the criticism wasn’t deserved.

Think twice before buying Girl Scout cookies next year. Fox and Friends discussed how the Girl Scouts of America is now promoting Media Matters, in addition to its affiliation with Planned Parenthood (more).

Check out the brochure they are distributing:

Get ‘em while they’re young, I guess? The Girl Scouts believe that an organization which took money from SEIU right about the time it began attacking black conservatives in the wake of the Gladney beating, a website which refuses to correct its errors and has been called a “core institution” of the Democrat party due to its hostile stance against Israel-supporters, this site “gets the word out about media misinformation?” A website which runs interference to blatantly protect Democrats? A website which makes false claims (and then plays “ignore” when proof of such claims is requested) against journalists? A website that attacked critics of a government program that used public funds to arm Mexican drug cartels so they could shoot Mexicans and Americans? The same Media Matters which worked with the DOJ to cover up the voter intimidation scandal?

By promoting Media Matters for America as a credible website, the Girl Scouts are endorsing the site’s unethical practices and stances.

Media Matters for America’s favorite topics are FOX News, the Big sites, and The Daily Caller. Chris Brown claims Matthew Boyle was so happy to accuse The New York Times and Attorney General Eric Holder in one article Mr. Boyle didn’t bother to get his facts straight. Well, the same could be said about Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown was so happy to jump on Mr. Boyle he didn’t bother to look at the article from ALL angles. Then again is anyone surprised? After all MMfA is the Obama administration’s cheerleaders. No one could ever do wrong in this administration, right?

This is what has Mr. Brown’s underwear all in knots:

Savage wrote that there are no “documents or testimony” to support allegations that Holder knew of the “gunwalking” tactics employed in Operation Fast and Furious.

“Mr. Holder has denounced the tactics used in the operation, known as ‘gunwalking,’ but said he did not know about them or sanction their use,” Savage wrote. “No documents or testimony have shown otherwise, but Republicans have pummeled him at oversight hearings and in news media appearances.”

Savage made these statements without attribution.

Despite those assertions, Holder’s office was provided with multiple briefings and memos about Operation Fast and Furious by top Justice Department officials. The memos contained intimate details of how Holder’s DOJ allowed guns to walk.

Oh Mr. Brown. You’re the almighty aren’t you? You can tell us you absolutely know for sure Mr. Holder knew nothing about Operation Fast and Furious? Because what Mr. Savage wrote was wrong. Read the sentence again, okay? Let’s say it really slow so you can understand: “Savage wrote that there are no “documents or testimony” to support allegations that Holder knew of the “gunwalking” tactics employed in Operation Fast and Furious.” OK let’s analyze that sentence.

Politico’s Ben Smith writes today that Media Matters for America (MMfA) and the Center for American Progress (CAP), both “core institutions” of the Democratic Party, are pushing anti-Israel policies and downplaying the threat of a nuclear Iran.

By promoting views once confined to the extreme left and isolationist right, MMfA and CAP are dividing the Democratic Party and isolating themselves on the margins of American political debate.

Smith notes, for example, that MJ Rosenberg, “Senior Foreign Policy Fellow” at MMFA, “regularly heaps vitriol on those who disagree” with his radical left-wing views on Israel, including liberal pro-negotiation voices such as Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic. In May 2011, Andrew Breitbart noted that Rosenberg had accused supporters of Israel of disloyalty to the U.S. and called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “terrorist.”

Though CAP “tends to walk a more careful line,” Smith notes that CAP policy analyst Matt Duss, who directs the Middle East Progress blog, called Israel’s blockade against terrorist-controlled Gaza a “moral outrage” and likened it to “segregation in the American South.” CAP has also accused pro-Israel organizations, such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), of agitating for war with Iraq and Iran.

Smith reports that CAP chairman John Podesta has faced complaints over “borderline anti-Semitic stuff” about Israel published on his organization’s website: (more…)

The SEIU and Soros-funded Media Matters for America is sounding the alarm: Fox News, they gush, has given a lot of airtime to Republican primary contenders.

The Republican presidential primary race isn’t news?

A serious question: is Fox supposed to ignore it? Is MMfA positing that Fox is deliberately excluding coverage of a Democrat primary due to bias? Can MMfA point to me who the Democrat primary candidates are since they suggest that Fox is not giving equal time? Can MMfA provide any clips of the Democratic primary debates?

What? They can’t? Why not?

Because there currently isn’t a primary for Democrats? Because Democrats have an unchallenged incumbent? Democrats have not held any primary debates?

Your tax dollars at work America! If Media Matters for America was serious about being a “watchdog” group they wouldn’t go after the new media that picks up MSM slack. Instead they’d go after The New York Times, NBC Nightly News, ABC World News, etc. for NOT doing their jobs. But then again we all know the truth: MMfA doesn’t care about the truth or facts unless it benefits them and their liberal politicians.

Yesterday Eric Holder lashed out at The Daily Caller blaming them for all the Operation Fast & Furious attention. Our very own Dana Loesch pointed out that this isn’t the first time the administration has done this. You all know I’ve been working hard trying to get the rest of the media to cover Operation Fast and Furious. Cam Edwards, host of Cam & Company, talks Fast & Furious every night. Katie Pavlich from Townhall covers it as much as Mr. Boyle. Don’t forget Sharyl Attkisson, the only reporter in the MSM who is reporting Fast & Furious. She was cursed out by a White House staffer for asking too many questions.

Matt Gertz at Media Matters quickly came to Mr. Holder’s defense. Mr. Gertz claims Mr. Holder is right about The Daily Caller being behind all the calls for Mr. Holder’s resignation. Interesting, but Holder should be pointing the finger at himself. If he and the Department of Justice didn’t allow guns to walk they wouldn’t be in this mess and have blood on their hands. God forbid Matthew Boyle, Katie Pavlich, and Sharyl Attkisson do their jobs.

Forget “Sixty Minutes”–it took the geniuses over at Media Matters for America (MMfA) all of about 60 seconds to pounce foolishly on the Breitbart TV video of CBS’ Steve Kroft asking a question of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. MMfA immediately pronounced it a “Right-Wing” smear job.

Right-Wing’s Pelosi Smear Ignores Historic Credit Card Reform Passed Under Her Watch

And MMfA didn’t stop there. It was like watching a one-legged man off to the races, down the track of a newly discovered dastardly Right-Wing smear campaign in action:

Breitbart.tv: “60 Minutes Challenged Nancy Pelosi On Her Conflict Of Interest While Speaker And Facilitating Financial Reform While Being Involved With Credit Card Companies.” The exchange was posted on Andrew Breitbart’s Breitbart.tv website, promoting the notion that Pelosi faced a “conflict of interest” while overseeing credit card reform as Speaker:

Fox Nation: “Pelosi Visibly Shaken When ‘60 Minutes’ Confronts Her About Shady Investments.” Fox Nation suggested that the exchange demonstrated that Pelosi had “shady investments”:

From there, MMfA quickly circled the wagons around the former Speaker, desperate to show her as an innocent champion of the people against those evil credit card companies–one of which she seems to have invested with on favorable terms, despite relevant legislation making its way through the Congress she then led.

Wall Street Journal: “Congress And The White House Are Taking Aim At Controversial Credit-Card Practices.” In April 2009, The Wall Street Journal reported:

McClatchy: “Consumers … Would Get Strong New Protection” Under Credit Cardholders’ Bill Of Rights. McClatchy reported in May 2009:

There may be very troubling news ahead for Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration. Consequently, true to form, Media Matters for America (MMfA) has launched their defense of Holder, aimed at limiting the damage from headlines sure to come.

Fox’s Kelly, Gallagher Join Right-Wing Hyping Of Republican Calls For Holder’s Resignation

MMfA routinely ignores objective reporting in an attempt to marginalize content not considered part of the liberal mainstream media. In fact, The Hill reported that calls for Holder to resign were “intensifying” as far back as October 6th. Obviously, if they were intensifying back then, that they recently doubled over night is legitimate news. What MMfA is doing here is attempting to influence mainstream media outlets to avoid picking up news potentially damaging to the Obama administration. Their timing is highly suspect, as well.

GOP calls for Holder’s resignation intensify

Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) on Thursday called for Attorney General Eric Holder to resign over his role in a botched gun-tracking operation, and questioned whether he was protecting President Obama.

Labrador is not the first Republican to call for Holder’s resignation over Fast and Furious.

Earlier this week, Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas), a member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said the “only honorable thing” for Holder to do is resign — though he said he doubted he would.

“There are two options: He was lying or he was not doing his job, keeping up with what the Justice Department was doing,” Farenthold said in an interview on NRA News radio. “I would probably resign if that came out, if I had done that.”

As Politico, hardly the home of right-wing news, is reporting today, Holder is now set to testify regarding the Fast and Furious Operation before the House Judiciary Committee on December 8th. Politico was following up on a news blurb Tweeted out by CBS. As the propaganda arm of the Obama administration, MMfA doesn’t want people to read much about that news. Its latest attack on Fox has nothing to do with helping to improve media reporting in America. It’s intentionally designed to influence media so as to limit any and all bad news for the left.

Attorney General Eric Holder will testify before the House Judiciary Committee on Dec. 8 about the controversial Fast and Furious gun-running program, the Department of Justice confirmed Friday.

Holder is under fire from Republicans, who have accused him of lying in testimony about when he first learned of the program.

Two weeks ago, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) announced he had issued a subpoena to Holder for Justice Department documents related to the operation. The subpoena requested all of Holder’s communications on Fast and Furious, and any communications between the White House and the Justice Department related to the program.

Back in August I did an autopsy on Media Matters for America and their blood-money fueled attack on Kenneth Gladney, the black merchant beaten mercilessly by two pro-Obama SEIU thugs at a townhall meeting in August of 2009. What was fascinating about diving so deeply and thoroughly into a story I knew little about was in the discovery of how the MSM counts on the left-wing, Soros-funded Media Matters to run interference for them when it comes to stories inconvenient to the desired Leftist narrative.

An excerpt:

What Media Matters is designed to do (or adapted itself to do) is to (through any dishonest means necessary) discredit any and all stories bubbling online before they reach the MSM and do damage to the Left’s desired narrative. If you watch the insidious relationship between Media Matters and the MSM, it becomes obvious that their unspoken agreement is that another Swiftboat Veterans story must never be allowed to survive long enough to where the MSM will have no choice but to cover it. Therefore, Media Matters’ primary function is not to uncover truths or reveal facts, their mission is solely to engage in tactics that undermine and discredit stories inconvenient to the Left — and their approach is a simple one. By directing buzz-words like “hoax” at these undesired stories with a side order of calculated ridicule and mockery, Media Matters gives the MSM the excuse necessary to look the other way.

Since Big Government posted a link to of thousands of documents that show Occupy Wall Street is anything but grassroots and that its true roots and goals are, the national news media is once again faced with a story they have no desire to cover. The media likes this Occupy movement. They like how it could turn into votes for Barack Obama and they like how it distracts from a number of brewing White House scandals. But this document treasure-trove completely blows out of the water the media attempts to paint this movement as a force of good — which is especially important now that White House has attempted to co-opt it.

Worst of all the for the leftist MSM is how these documents expose those behind this protest as the nihilistic monsters they really are — a force much worse than anything the MSM attempted to falsely portray the tea party as.

And so, if history is any judge, it will soon be Media Matters to the rescue! Senior Fellows will ride in on their white unicorns full of the kind of dismissive “analysis” the MSM craves so that they can ignore the revelations at Big Government this morning. They have manned their posts and prepared for battle.

This morning, Big Government posted video from an event at the National Press Club at which Faya Rose Touré (formerly Rose Sanders), an attorney from the $2.7 billion Pigford “black farmers” discrimination settlement, revealed major flaws in the claims process. Her statements support previous reporting by Big Government and Big Journalism–reporting which Media Matters ruthlessly and wrongly attacked as false.

At the same press conference, the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) and the Nation of Islam (NOI) joined in a barrage of racist, antisemitic, and homophobic rhetoric that went unreported by the mainstream media, though the event took place within their very own clubhouse.

Press Release for Pigford Press Conference

The newly released video confirms much of what Pigford’s critics have been saying, destroying previous attempts by George Soros’s Big Labor-funded minions at Media Matters to hide the truth.

From Breitbart media’s earliest reporting on the Pigford settlement, Media Matters began recklessly hurling accusations of racism, and lying about Andrew Breitbart and others’ writing about the issue, while discounting facts now shown to be correct.

In hindsight, that appears to have been an orchestrated effort to suppress the truth behind Pigford and potentially keep the scandal from surfacing in mainstream media outlets.

It is an effort that has failed.

For example, Media Matters tried to dispel any link between Pigford and the New Black Panther Party (“Race-baiting confluence: On Breitbart site, Adams links Pigford to New Black Panthers“).

The progressive watchdog group has made it a priority to bash Fox News, which is also carried by the satellite radio company.

Progressive watchdog group Media Matters will get itself a powerful new platform to wage its war on the Fox News Channel.

The group announced Wednesday the formation of Media Matters Radio on Sirius XM, which will begin a six-week run on Saturday.

The show, which airs live on the Sirius XM Left channel, will feature Media Matters executives Ari Rabin-Havt and Bradley Herring as co-hosts who will chastise media outlets for whatever it is that they deem “conservative misinformation.”

While the show won’t be entirely focused on Fox News, it’s likely to be a primary target, as Media Matters CEO David Brock and major donor George Soros have both acknowledged a renewed focus on Fox News.
