Above is part one where President Obama ticks off his talking points for five very long minutes. Admittedly, Stewart’s guest is the President of the United States and you have to respect the office and not interrupt (though calling him “dude” is apparently on the table), but wow — has Obama lost his magnetism, or what?

In part two below you’re going to see Stewart assume the role, not of a satirist, but as the symbol of the Disillusioned Left. The left-wing comedian is really, really, really upset that ObamaCare isn’t a complete takeover of the entire capitalist economic system of the Free World.

Also, again in part two, keep an eye out for right around the 7:30 mark when Stewart mocks Obama’s strained “I talked to a woman from Poughkeepsie…” anecdote. This President cannot take a joke.

The “dude” comment comes early in part three but the scariest part of the whole interview comes at 6:38 mark of part three when Obama talks about how the use of the filibuster isn’t constitutional. Preview of a post-2010 wave strategy? Beats moving to the center and compromising with the Will of the People, right? (more…)

I last heard the old Soviet Union anthem as I left Moscow two weeks before the coup against Gorbachev in 1991. That pretty much marked the end of the line for the Old Left, which had invested so much in the success of “socialism in one country.”

Their children and grandchildren are with us today, marching in our own capital city and busily undermining every single institution in our nation. Their smiles don’t disguise the loathing they feel for what America is, but they do reflect their joy at what they hope she becomes.

Unfortunately for these useful idiots, malevolent fools and active seditionists, many of us remember the old USSR and what it looked like and what it smelled like. We’ve been hearing this same propaganda for decades; the only difference now is that they’re out and proud.

They sense victory. This is what victory looks like to them. This is paradise when the velvet glove comes off: (more…)

For those that thought faded journo Jimmy Breslin had passed on to his great reward, fear not for ol’ Jimmy is back and this time he wants you all to know that you Tea Partiers are wild-eyed racists filled with madness. Heck you are all as crazy as Bobby Kennedy’s killer Sirhan-Sirhan, you Tea Partiers are dangerous, and prone to riot and your inflammatory air is disturbing Jimmy’s retirement. Shame on you.

In a rambling, maudlin piece for Harper’s magazine, Breslin, a former Newsday columnist, took after the Tea Party movement in a thinly veiled attack that compares the “national air” today to those days of race riots and the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Jr., and Bobby Kennedy. Breslin feels that the Tea Party movement is a dangerous element obviously about to turn the country into yet another seething cauldron of violence.

topics_breslin_190

Without actually naming the Tea Party Breslin invokes some of the most turbulent times that America has seen in his lifetime and intimates that those times are returning due to the “mob” he sees in the streets today.

He begins his piece shrilly claiming that the national air today is like “claws of madness” that “swipe through the sky,” the same madness that resulted in Bobby Kennedy’s 1968 assassination. He then recites a quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes who warned that laws could not prevent inciting lies from being spread. (more…)

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending the “Restoring Honor” rally in Washington, D.C. While I’m proud to be an American each and every day, I was especially proud on that day. The feeling I had being amongst so many people that love and appreciate the blessings of liberty was at times overwhelming. The purpose of the event was simple. We wanted to express our love for our nation and dedicate ourselves to practicing the values that has made it so strong. Unfortunately, this simple lesson appears to be impossible for liberals and the media to comprehend.

glenn-beck-rally

The media coverage and the liberal spin stopped short of calling the event a Ku Klux Klan rally, attended by racist tea partiers whose sole purpose is to suppress minorities, destroy the environment and worship big business. To no surprise, all the media coverage reflected this tired narrative. As usual with the media, they got it all wrong.

There’s no denying that the majority of the attendees were white — but then, so is the majority of America. Blacks were free to attend and many of us did but for some reason the media chose not to show us. There is no surprise that the liberals once again have terribly flawed logic. Consider this. I went to a predominantly black college. Whites are free to go to school there. Despite being heavily recruited in many cases, many still choose to get their educations elsewhere. Many black colleges offer scholarships specifically for white students. Does this make black colleges racist for not having more white students? The point is that the lack of attendance isn’t the same as exclusion. (more…)

According to some estimates, Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally drew almost 300,000 people to Washington D.C. on August 28. Had it been a rally led by Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, the mainstream media would have used precision camera angles to exaggerate the number of participants and revel in the fact that there had been another “Million Man March.” Instead, it was just 300,000 conservatives converging on the nation’s capital, so writers like the New York Times’ Frank Rich had to strain to find some way to pervert the reason behind the gathering or defile those who supported it.

In the end, Rich settled on defiling the financial backers of the rally by “outing” them. In fact, he was so diligent in publishing their names, discussing their opposition to liberalism, and cataloging the massive amounts of money they’ve given to conservative causes, that it almost seemed like he had an axe to grind.

For example, after fingering Rupert Murdoch, Rich pointed to David and Charles Koch as the “fat cats” behind the Tea Party movement, noting that TEa Partiers “may not know who these brothers are,” (which is liberal-political-speak for “I’m getting ready to give you all the dirt I can on these two guys”). In an era when satellite imagery allows one to count cars from space, and in a country fascinated with numbers (weekly box office take, home runs, calorie counting, etc) the MSM is having a difficult time with the math on Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally held on the Mall in Washington yesterday.  By all reasonable estimates, nearly half a million people were in attendance, and yet, confusion (or perhaps subterfuge) rules the day.

CNN.com was reporting;  “large crowds” and “People filled the park by the Lincoln Memorial’s reflecting pool. . .”  I have a question for the writers at CNN.  If Beck’s 500,000-plus is considered a large crowd, what term would you use for the Sharpton rally held across town?  Oddly enough, no mention of numbers or size was included in the description of Sharpton’s event.  Was this done to diminish one or to equate the much smaller march with the enormous rally?

MSNBC.com reported, “Tens of thousands flock to the capital for a rally that largely avoided politics.” After attacking and analyzing the event for a week before it happened, the NBC’s minor league team mostly avoided putting the story in the spotlight, instead favoring a position on the U.S. news page.  There was a mention on the homepage with a link to a video entitled “LaRussa, Pujols speak at Beck Rally” – huh?
