REP. CHARLES RANGEL: Good morning, kids.  I’m your Uncle Chollie in Washington.  I help your Uncle Sam take care of you and your family.  Today, I’m here to introduce a very special person.  He’ll explain how you–our youngest citizens–can partner with him to make America a country we can all be proud of once more.  Or for the first time.  Whatever. Girls and boys, the President of the United States.

PRESIDENT OBAMA:  Thanks, Uncle Chollie.  Hi kids, it’s me, President Obama.  I enjoyed our visit last year.  Lots of your teachers asked if I would speak again this year, preferably for the last hour of the school day every Friday until June.  I’ve agreed, because I know how much you need your sleep.

Don’t worry, I’ll still have plenty of time to fix the broken country George Bush left me.  Like my Saturday radio speeches to grownups, these talks are all taped in advance when I’m not playing golf, so all I do is read what somebody else wrote and then I read it off these marvelous inventions we call TelePrompters.

Anyway, in weeks to come, we’ll discuss fun topics like Hot Czars™, the souped-up, small-scale vehicles my Michigan auto company will build for kids who are into power trips; and we’ll play Tic Tax Dough, a new Monopoly-like board game developed by a youngster in my cabinet named Timmy Geithner.  A special treat: the First Lady will sub for me one day next month and tell you a story about the Keebler Elf’s plans to turn you into a gobblin’. Number three on our list almost violates the criteria that I set up in the first piece I wrote for this series. I said then that denizens of the Old Media that are too much a “cartoon of journalism” would not be included on my list. Yet despite my dismissal of such Old Media clowns, in the number three slot on the list you’ll find Paul Krugman of The New York Times.

Given today’s revelations about the JournoList, we now know Krugman either participated in a media conspiracy to get Obama elected or at least witnessed it first hand and did nothing to stop it.  Consider this fact merely the latest insight into a man who’s done more consistently left-biased journalism than nearly anyone in America.

krugman

Krugman is indeed quite a cartoon of modern liberalism. He is hidebound and far from a new or even a very free thinker. But he makes the list simply because he is not only a Nobel Prize winner but is one of the leading media figures in America today. So, despite that he is not an original thinker and is steeped in liberal orthodoxy, his prominence argues for his inclusion here.

And besides that he is a true liberal loon.

Krugman’s January 17 piece is a perfect example of the nonsense that he tries to pass off as political analysis. In his piece headlined “What Didn’t Happen,” Krugman seriously tried to claim that one of Barack Obama’s biggest failings was that he doesn’t blame Bush enough for his own failings.

Mr. Obama didn’t… shelter himself from criticism with a narrative that placed the blame on previous administrations.

Judicial Watch issued its  Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2009″ list a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been waiting for MSM coverage of this story–as President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Geithner, Eric Holder, Charles Rangel, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, John Murtha, Roland Burris, Rep. Jesse Jackson, and John Ensign are this year’s trophy winners.

For the record, Ensign is the only Republican and President Bush has never been on the list. I wonder if the Ds and Rs were flipped, if the MSM would have covered the story because I have not been able to find anything on this story from the major networks.  I found the story handily on the FoxNation but nowhere else in the MSM.

After Senator Harry Reid, in 2005, called the Republican Congress the most corrupt in history, he may want to look at the 2009 list and retract that statement.  It’s refreshing to see that the United States government is so well represented on this list, including the President, Speaker of the House, Secretary of the Treasury, Attorney General, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, House Financial Services Committee Chairman (Frank), and Chairman of Housing, Banking, and Urban Affairs (Dodd).

Furthermore, Obama has been on Judicial Watch’s Most Corrupt list each year since 2006—in 2008, and 2007, and 2006 (dishonorable mention). (more…)
