The video report above dishonestly makes it sound as though the sexual assault problem is all solved and that it was those awesome Occupiers who did the solving. The overall tone of the report is also surprisingly cold and matter-of-fact when you consider that what we’re talking about is innocent women being sexually assaulted. Contrast the video report to the written report below. Talk about a disconnect.

ABC News.com:

Alleged sexual assaults at Occupy Wall Street camps have raised concerns about security in a handful of cities, including reports of rape and groping in tents at New York’s Zuccotti Park and a sex offender in Dallas having sex with an underage runaway.

“These protests have a history of welcoming everyone and just assuming they’re on your side,” said David Meyer, a professor of sociology at the University of California at Irvine, who studies protest movements.

The recent reports of assaults have created a problem the “Occupy” movement is being challenged to address head-on.

“We always encourage victims to go through the proper channels and contact police,” said Brendan Burke, 41, who helps run the security team in Zuccotti Park.

But that’s not always the case. Burke admitted there have been times when members of the community have taken it upon themselves to chase off men who exposed themselves in the park.

The MSM’s infatuation with the Occupy Wall Street movement becomes incredibly obvious when compared to how they covered the Tea Party movement. Those of us who oppose the unconstitutional largess of the federal government, especially under President FailureTeleprompter, were treated to the kind of coverage usually reserved for Sarah Palin. The tactic was simple. Major stories were created out of an intentionally-crafted soda straw context where small things, like signs held by obvious infiltrators, were used to define tens of thousands of everyday Americans.

The reason for this was obvious. The MSM represent Obama’s Palace Guards, and any grassroots citizen movement that might damage Their Precious One had to be strangled in the crib. Therefore, even though the Tea Party movement is almost laughably peaceful, polite, and inclusive, the corrupt MSM, including CNN, refuse to portray them as such.

The exact opposite is true for the Occupy Wall Street movement, which is riddled with those willing to commit violence (31%), property damage, and outright extortion. And naturally, this grassroots movement is mostly astroturf and getting more astroturfy by the day. Then there’s that whole anti-Semitism thing the MSM is now aggressively fighting to underplay. After all, who you going to believe? Infamous JournoLister Dave Weigel or those “crazed Righties” at the ADL and your lying eyes?

The way the left and obviously the White House see it, Occupy Wall Street can help a President who’s desperate for a 2012 scapegoat to take the fall for his failed domestic policies. Obama really has no other chance of winning re-election other than the hope that the American people forget that for two years absolutely everything he wanted was passed… and failed spectacularly.

In the wake of reports that wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Ginny Thomas, called Anita Hill for an apology for her performance before the Judiciary Committee nearly 20 years ago, the Washington Post has come out with a purportedly new story that contains absolutely nothing new, or the least bit scandalous, or damning of Thomas at all.

Well, there is one bit of scandalous information. The subject of the story, Lillian McEwen, an alleged former intimate of Thomas’s is shopping a manuscript. According to page 384 of Carl Bernsein’s Hillary book, A Woman in Charge, Clinton cronies such as George Stephanopoulus, who is quoted, will no doubt now cast her as of the “cash for trash” variety of woman, just as they did to Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers. I can hardly wait to see those fireworks on ABC.

And she is silent no more.

She has written a memoir, which she is now shopping to publishers.

Not only that, but McEwen admits to having what looks like a political motivation for now having issues with Thomas. Good luck digging this out of the three-page article. Of course, if you want to know about any political motivations of women once, or now, in Justice Thomas’ life – fear not! The Post was all too happy to label his wife, Ginny Thomas, a “veteran political activist” just two days ago. (more…)

In a bombshell new development in the Al Gore sex scandal — broken exclusively earlier today by The ENQUIRER — the Oregon District Attorney says there’s “the possibility of a criminal prosecution.”

In a statement just released by Multnomah County (OR.) D.A. Michael D. Schrunk, the official reveals that “our office was notified by the Portland Police Bureau that further investigation of this matter had been conducted by it in 2009 and we were provided with the reports from that further investigation.”

Schrunk goes on to add: “If the complainant and the Portland Police Bureau wish to pursue the possibility of a criminal prosecution, additional investigation by the Bureau will be necessary and will be discussed with the Portland Police Bureau.”

The D.A. says the police first briefed his office in late 2006 and early 2007 on the allegations but was told “the woman was not willing to be interviewed by the Portland Police Bureau and did not want a criminal investigation to proceed.”

Former Vice President Al Gore was accused of sexually attacking a woman in Oregon in 2006, according to police reports uncovered by The National Enquirer. Just as in the John Edwards scandal, the Enquirer’s investigative team has alleged not only Gore’s cheating but also possible criminal acts, and yet the mainstream media so far has refused to pick up the story. The Enquirer’s story on Wednesday gives very specific details of the sexual assault allegations against Gore: (more…)
