During the rise of the tea party Anderson Cooper called conservatives “tea baggers” on CNN and remarked about “teabagging.” The network featured a multitude of guests and contributors who likened tea partiers to nazis, bigots, pick your poison. No pressure was ever brought about to censor the speech of those babbling on air. CNN never found any of the remarks objectionable. Fast-forward to present time. Dana Loesch mocks the absurdity of the left’s predictable Outrage Chic on her radio show, Erick Erickson mocks occupiers on his radio show, Roland Martin mocks soccer (who doesn’t mock soccer?) and David Beckham’s underwear using his personal Twitter account and all hell breaks loose. Note: not a single one of these individuals said any of this on CNN’s airwaves, as demonstrated above. That doesn’t matter to the Progressive Inquisition.

Progressives have been falling over themselves to get Loesch and Erickson fired from CNN since CNN decided it wasn’t going to actually attempt to make money and offer a variety of opinion. Progressives hate variety, they loathe diversity of thought. The George Soros mouthpiece, Media Matters for America actually pays people to listen to Erickson and Loesch’s radio shows, record them, and try to trump up outrage over nothing. For instance, last week Loesch said that women can use birth control methods such as pills, condoms, and natural family planning as their “choice,” as opposed to the “choice” of murdering a baby. Eric Boehlert, a man who, to our knowledge, is not a licensed OB/GYN and has not, to our knowledge, ever been a woman at any time, mocked the idea that a woman is smart enough on her own to actually prevent pregnancy naturally. Because they don’t teach about menstrual cycles in high school, or the most fertile times of the month for a woman, information Boehlert apparently missed out on in school. They tried to get CNN’s attention with it on Twitter after posting it to their site.

Erickson joked about violent, raping, drug peddling occupiers getting tased — the violent movement MMfA endorsed — and MMfA/Boehlert put the clip on their site and also tried to get CNN’s attention with it. MMfA endorsed Occupy, defended it, and said nothing with this hit a cop in the face with a brick, when women were being raped, drugs being sold, absolutely nothing when the White House was shot up and smoke bombs were thrown by occupy campers. That wasn’t bad enough to earn their condemnation but cracking a joke when one of them is so out of control they have to be tasered for the safety of the police — and the person who cracked the joke is the bad guy. Those are their priorities.

They failed. They did the same thing last month as well, completely proving the point Loesch was making about hysterical reactions to the Marines appearing to urinate on the bodies of dead terrorists who had just tried to kill them in battle.

CNN didn’t fire Loesch, they didn’t fire Erickson, either which enraged Boehlert and MMfA. It showed their impotence, their weakness, that no one truly gives a damn what they do all day over on their little corner of the Internet.

Roland Martin spent Super Bowl Sunday writing #rolandsrules, jokes about watching the Super Bowl. I cannot stand the man’s politics and I damn near hated him during the midterm elections because he was one of the racial demagogues who called tea partiers every name in the book. His Tweets were funny. He joked about appetizers, about soccer — because soccer is stupid — and David Beckham’s underwear. His Tweets angered GLAAD, who believe that they have the patent on soccer and David Beckham’s underwear, thus if you insult and/or mock them, they will take it as gay bashing. Advocacy to GLAAD is trolling Twitter trying to see how many different ways innocuous Tweets can offend them.

GLAAD does more to make a mockery of themselves than Martin or anyone else could ever do.

CNN suspended Martin over the Tweets as they are close with GLAAD.

Friday night I was joined by Team Breitbart in L.A. at CBS Studios to appear on “Real Time with Bill Maher.” It was exactly what I thought it would be except for one thing: I was taller than most of the men on the panel. Maybe it was the heels, but I positively towered over a couple of them when I went to shake hands and I’m not a particularly tall woman.

Originally we were to discuss the Chamber of Commerce, Christine O’Donnell, over-population, and the Nobel Prize to the pioneer of in-vitro fertilization; topics changed a bit shortly before the show which was fine except that I was really hoping to see where my fellow panelists stood on free speech and the CoC because that could’ve been a party.

A few things:

1. My fact resolutely stands on my statement that we spent MORE in stimulus than in Iraq. Saying “nu-uh” doesn’t change this. The stimulus adds up to $862 billion dollars, $100 billion MORE than Iraq. Really, I could be a total and correct brat and argue that the stimulus is further beyond even this figure – factor in the second stimulus, the EduJobs bill (a $26 billion-dollar payoff to unions as we had $38 billion in unspent stimulus allocated specifically for this same purpose laying by the wayside), additional billions added for food stamps and unemployment, Cash for Clunkers – all of it an artificial mechanism to stimulate the economy to some idiotic Keynesian economic principle by spending cash we don’t possess. Correction: spending CHINA’S cash. I know how the left loves to pass cash with China, but this is becoming ridiculous.

For argument’s sake, let’s say that the stimulus (minus all the other stimulus projects I mentioned above) didn’t cost $100 billion more than the cost of Iraq. Iraq was a success. The stimulus was not. (more…)

The last-place cable news network, CNN, is the channel Wolf Blizter regularly calls “the place for politics.” It also operates a website with the motto, “all politics, all the time.” So you would expect the outlet to offer only the best and most credible analysis of the political headlines.

Last night, on the final primary election night across the country, it should be no surprise to any right thinking person that CNN opened the intellectual sluices and turned loose their political heavyweights to discuss the state of American politics. Presenting Larry King and Bill Maher.

As the political sands were shifting beneath their feet and with infomercial-like dialogue, Larry King and Bill Maher delivered what can only be described as the television version of throwing in the towel to FOX and MSNBC’s election night coverage.  The closest I can come to comparison is the now legendary dialogue between the “chef of the future” Ralph Kramden and the “chef of the past” Ed Norton in a classic Honeymooners episode: (more…)

Leftist media hack and WaPo journalist Ezra Klein founded Journolist with far left crank Joe Klein from TIME magazine in February of 2007. Klein admitted that Journolist was an “insulated space where the lure of a smart, ongoing conversation would encourage journalists, policy experts and assorted other observers to share their insights with one another.” But, you had to be a leftist to join this group. It was an exclusive club. And, it grew to include 400 of the most prominent leftist American journalists who shared ideas and helped spin the far left narrative in the state-run media. This is where far left cranks colluded to spit out the DNC’s talking points and to defend President Barack Obama’s radical agenda.

Last week Dave Weigel was outed as a member of Journolist and resigned from his position as “conservative writer” for The Washington Post. The left was hoping this would be the end of the story. America held her breath last night, gripped by the mind-numbing realization that the government of the people, by the people, and for the people could very well be irrevocably broken. The American people are overwhelmingly against this government takeover of 20% of the economy. Tens of thousands took to the great lawn Saturday, trying to right a government gone off the rails, after a year of similar peaceful actions. And so the focus of the Democrat leadership all through the healthcare takeover, and culminating with a flourish this past weekend, has been on libeling, slandering and destroying the millions of Americans who stand against this socialist putsch.

The peaceful, patriotic millions who marched over the course of the year were virtually ignored by the media and certainly ignored by the President. Big media only deemed fit to cover the people’s revolution long enough to libel them and smear them with vulgarities (“tea baggers“). This campaign of destruction culminated Saturday in the specious charge that a protester shouted “ni**er” at the Congressional Black Caucus. The Washington Post reported:

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus said that racial epithets were hurled at them Saturday by angry protesters who had gathered at the Capitol to protest health-care legislation, and one congressman said he was spit upon. The most high-profile openly gay congressman, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), was heckled with anti-gay chants.

With a whiff of nostalgia, I can imagine the old time journalist with the smell of coffee and cigarettes wafting through the click and clang of the typewriter.   Fifty years ago, a “journalist” had the ring of a dispassionate, creative, honest, fair, and trusted detective/storyteller.  Fifty years ago, if you graduated from an accredited journalism school, you were presumed “unbiased.”  Much as the physician takes an oath that she will “first, do no harm,” the “journalist” title meant that you were first, unbiased and balanced. Neutrality in the story was as necessary as it was assumed.

Sometime between half a century ago and today, something went very, very wrong.

We can speculate on what the “something” was, but we may never know for sure.  Much like the wind blows, there is no discernible source, but still we know it blows. Journalism became slanted to the left to the degree that the right had almost no voice by the mid-1980s.   Almost no voice, until Rush Limbaugh came on the scene.  Almost 30 years later, the tables have turned.  The problem for these journalists is that they have functioned robotically and cavalierly for so long, that they are not aware of the reality around them.  Things have changed. Journalists deserve to be treated with respect. Liberals deserve to be treated with respect. But leftist bullies… Well, they deserve nothing more than to be treated like the bullies they are. Because behind the press pass and race-baiting questions, that’s all they are: partisan bullies.

Tommy Christopher is a little more than just an “unabashed liberal.”  Juan Williams never called me a “teabagger.” And for some reason, the guy on record repeatedly denigrating what was the Tea Party spirit of CPAC 2010 with sexual, pornographic slurs, was sent to cover CPAC 2010. For your perusal, a quick Top Five:

I was all set to write about how the media’s mockery of the “Tea Party Movement,” re-dubbed “Tea-bagging” by the sexual-slang-ignorant Griff Jenkins, is threatening to turn the sac-obsessed revolutionaries into sympathetic figures. I mean, we get it. Tea-bagging has 2 meanings. Actually, it really only has one.

But then, Political Machine trollbuster Cube sent me this video, which is too good to pass up. I’ll scold my fellows tomorrow. Today, we feast on tea-baggy awesomeness. The fun really starts at about the 3:30 mark.

No clearer difference can be seen in how the Old Media and its left-wing compatriots treat mass killers, terrorists and nutjobs than the way Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and Joe Stack have been portrayed by the Old Media and the left. Abdulmutallab, the jihadi Christmas Bomber, was treated as an aberration unconnected with any larger group — despite that he trained with al Qaeda — and Joe Stack, who flew a plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, has been held up as the epitome of the “teabaggers” and the “anti-government right” despite that not a single tie to those folks has been yet discovered.

Immediately after Abdulmutallab tried to blow himself and a plane full of passengers into martyrdom on Christmas Day 2009, President Obama’s administration declared this guy an “isolated extremist” and said he had no connection to our Islamofascist enemies. Obama was helped along in this by many Old Media news sources.

On Dec. 26, for instance, CBS reported that Abdulmutallab was a loner: “As of now, he appears to be a lone actor with no conspirators. A report the following day said of the jihadist bomber, ‘We’re not aware of anybody else,’ one official told Orr. No further arrests are imminent.” (more…)
