I was alerted to this article by a friend. I appreciate the attention to my report, but I'm surprised at the anger it generated. You're certainly correct that Muslim terrorism is on a completely different moral level than Christian curriculum in schools. The story's title (which I didn't write) and its opening sentences do seem to make that equivalence, and that certainly wasn't intentional. The story meant to call attention to Rep Myrick's double standard: She openly criticizes all manner of mainstream Islamic organizations, but supports the NCBCPS, which is, by most accounts, a group on the fringes of Christianity that promotes something two courts have found to be unconstitutional.

I'm certainly not a hater of Christianity - I'm at church every Sunday. I'm also not a left-wing academic snob. If you take the time to read some of my other stories, you'll see that. I'd recommend this one, for starters:
 <a href="http://www.indyweek.com/indyweek/tom-tancredos-second-coming/Content?oid=1396478" target="_blank">http://www.indyweek.com/indyweek/tom-tancredos-se...</a>

Again, thanks for the attention. Any debate is good debate, but I'm sorry to have upset you so much!

Please explain to me where it says "separation of church and state" in the constitution? The first two phrases in the First Amendment are "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF;" (caps are mine).

Not a lot of suicide bombers screaming "Praise Jesus" before they blow up a train station. I think we need to focus on Shaolin Monks. They're really frightening with their shaved heads and all that sneaky kung fu stuff.

If we can not as a country agree to call a spade a spade and work together to defeat those who are our enemies, than we have already lost. This is the land of free speech, not "politically correct" speech.

Hmmm... just the other day you were the champion of using reason and logic.

The enemy within is emboldened by the way we treat those who support them. Nearly ALL MUSLIM COUNTRIES either directly or indirectly support the terrorist enemies of the US.

Lets quit playing pat-a-cake with our enemies and KILL THEM TILL THEY QUIT! Then we can make amends, Germany and Japan are two of the most successful countries in the world today because THE USA BOMBED THEM TO DUST, CLEANED OUT THE VERMIN, and then aided their recovery.

Of course that was WWII, an age when Americans were tough and proud of being ONE NATION UNDER GOD, not a bunch of progressive, politically correct, whiney babies!
