O'Reilly is a smug neanderthal. He doesn't even believe what he says about economics --off topic from this video, I know--; O'Reilly just accepts millions of dollars to spew bull$#it on camera. He's in the pocket of billionnaires. At least Krugman wants billionaires to pay a higher income tax rate than scientists, engineers, mechanics, IT specialists, technicians, etc. that actually do work --unlike billionnaires that do nothing but invest overseas and collect 4% interest on US Treasury bonds.

You would then by your own admission have no argument since it's all subjective opinion to you anyway. You've said the right does it too… so what? does that mean Krugman can lie at will since it's all fair in the end or something?

First I reject that both sides do it equally… I submit the left does it as a philosophical choice, the ends justify the means. When on the occasional time a fact or two are in error on the right they are corrected wether it helps our cause or not. (case in point the India trip 200 million dollar fiasco). A reported figure was wrong and the right retracted it within a couple of days…

name the last time the left ever retracted a mistake..

no, it isn't "subjective".

He has either distorted the facts or he hasn't, it's not open to differing takes. 2+2=4 cannot be 2+2=7 and be just a subjective position on the interpretation of modern math. That's sophistry in the extreme and you can't rationalize it away.

A fact is a provable truth. Krugman deals in opinions yes… but he also makes false statements. You're tap dancing around the fact Krugman is a petty little propagandist. Which Will, agree with him or not, is clearly not.. Even the leftwing MSM respect George will.. but only they respect Krugman. In the center and right.. Krugman's a fraud and petty petty little man.

It's meaning as anything high and noble is long gone.

Strictly speaking, not a journalist but a media pundit… that said.. he's also a shriveled up lame excuse making lie spewing fact distorting whiny assed hate monger with no sense of integrity or decency at all. Only the most blindered partisan shill could not admit Krugman has zero credibilty when he has a double standard so thick you'd need a nuclear charge to blast a hole big enough to let daylight in.

I read his work for the humor value. It's great pardoy – shows how crazy the liberal economic ideology is. I mean, really? "the whole Beltway obsession with the fiscal burden of an aging population is misguided" – man, how is he ever taken seriously, with 1-liners like that!

Oh, and he regularly updates a New York Times online blog titled, "Conscience of a Liberal." You can criminalize him as a "hard left hack," but that doesn't change the fact that this entry's author's claims are logically fallible. Krugman's paid to be biased — his profession is leftist economic commentary, and whether he has distorted factual evidence in his political favor is solely a subjective judgment. Therefore, I continue to focus on indisputable truth: He's an opinionmaker and obviously held to standards removed from the journalistic realm. Objectivity is a nonissue when you're business is two cents.
